Not true. No one is born gay. Or set to be gay permanently. One thing that is true about sexuality is it's fluidity-like properties. Many men are actually bisexual. But, only in extreme circumstances that are not normal, or common. Such as being imprisoned. When someone "becomes gay" due to any number of reasons it is a process that can be undone if the person is willing to put in the mental work to do so. If someone is in turmoil, and psychological distress due to their perceived sexuality they should first know, and understand they can conciously change it. Like any other aspect of their behavior or personality. They truly have that power within them. What a person is attracted to can be changed. (For better or for worse) However it can take concious effort the rest of their lives potentially.. When the reality of just accepting the changes that have occured are far easier for the individual. Asking someone to be their own psychologist, and changing habits for the rest of their lives requires a huge amount of work, and effort. Many that are simply not capable of such work because they have never even had to do something even remotetly as difficult in their entire lives.

One of the biggest crimes in modern psychology is the idea sexuality is concrete. When it is self-evident this isn't the case in the slightest. However, most of the time the things that cause someone to have those feelings or thoughts are increadibly deep rooted, and typically stim from some form of abuse. Or other negative stimuli. That may or may not be something the individual is even conciously aware that is effecting them in that way. So besides the mountain of effort, many are not even fully aware they can change this, or recognize all the factors that contribute to their percieved sexuality. Truly, an uphill battle. But, not impossible.

Most gays who don't like gays become trannies. It doesn't work out exactly how they want, but I can see the logic at least.
