Is it just harder to find people who are the same and share the same proclivities? The want for human connection still bugs me even though I like being alone. These conflicting problems also make me question whether if I want or need or deserve human connection.

the answer is going to be different for everyone
only you can decide
mostly depends on how well you tolerate loneliness and how much effort/pain are you willing to go through for human connection

I can tolerate loneliness well. Even just fucking around on here like I am now can help some of it like it is now. Effort and pain is a lot different. I think most people just value a friendship as transactional which sucks. All the obligations and expectations suck. Finding someone who truly understands you is actually pretty hard.

Living in society rots the brain and hollows people out. Being a recluse makes you believe social interaction means more than it does. Nobody can blame us when the advice is touch grass just have relationships and be normal. Fact of the matter is most people have lives that turn them into soulless husks just by having to live in the world unlike us recluses. It's not because we're better it's because we lack the conditioning. Long story short it's probably not worth it. Last time I tried, I thought maybe the way I see things is maladaptive but after talking to a few people, I think it's actually worse than I thought.

Even with a few bad experiences or just experiences that lead to nowhere besides ghosting is it really not worth trying? There's gotta be at least 1 anon out there in a similar situation and mental frame. Ghosting doesn't even bother me if I'm just trying to meet anons here.
