The developers expect you to pay. However, the main selling point of these apps is to keep you engaged so you won't leave soon. Giving you a match would mean game over for the developer. The main point is to make users use the app more and not leave it. You have to give users some hope, and there may be some "free trials," but giving users full control over the app is idiotic.Trust me; I'm involved in a SaaS business.
