It was a mix of the mentally ill people on it combined with how discord is structured. The insane people speak for themselves, but things like deleting messages is really cumbersome and since people are constantly looking for drama and pull up old messages you might've sent in a DM or anywhere really it makes you feel like you constantly have to step on eggshells and not upset someone in the future with anything you say.

Yeah, exactly. Constantly worrying about insane people that make you log on every day so you can check what's happening. Every time I was in some server some random drama would happen and people would make some duplicate server without the people they were fighting with and then you had to get roped in because they wanted you to decide teams and if you didn't they'd try using you as some kind of third party messager between each other.
