Afternoon /cat/. What's up?
>>83361970
>>How are you doing today?
Pretty good. Most of my cold is gone now, and I woke up at a good time.
>>Any plans for today?
Doing my 2nd last exam, this one's on motors.
>>When was the last time you hurt yourself?
November of last year.
>>Why did you hurt yourself?
Frustration with my lack of direction.
>>Is there anything bothering you right now?
One of my profs messed up the homework grading software so it's overriding my perfect marks with zeroes. If they don't fix it before Saturday I'll lose a shit ton of marks over something out of my control entirely.

Thanks. Most likely they won't notice in time, but I should pass that course anyway since I did well on the exam.

Hallo yuanon what up
>>83362574
>i'm sure they'll be able to fix that
I just spoke to my prof and person and it was intentional. Only prof that gives you a zero for late homework submissions, cunt behavior honestly. The homework is multiple choice questions that get marked by the software, no input on his part beyond submitting the questions. Piss off.
>hope it goes well
Left my journal with all my notes at home and only noticed now that I've sat down. I'll get some studying in anyway with the course resources but it'll be barebones.

>it was intentional.
i see. that's pretty scummy, especially if they were marked as passed before. can they just change it after the fact?

>Left my journal with all my notes at home and only noticed now that I've sat down.

Hey everyone!

Longtime lurker here. It honestly makes me feel so happy knowing people cope with the same negative emotions I do and are so positive and wholesome with each other.
Thanks to the warnings on these threads, I never ended up cutting myself so I'm very grateful.

Still, the ideations and such persist. I'm not sure if I plan on become a consistent contributor.

>> 83361970
> How are you doing today?
I'm alright now. I had a meeting with my "life coach" today. They're expensive af but their work is useful at least.

> Any plans for today?
I want to get another unit of my course done. This one course is really annoying and I don't want to do it.

> When was the last time you hurt yourself?
Today...

> Why did you hurt yourself?
My mom vented to me and that re-opened some of my insecurities... I know she loves me but I know it would be better for her if I was gone.

> Is there anything bothering you right now?
Same stuff with my mom. Situation's complicated but she's just very against my meds.

P.S. It seems everyone has a character/persona they've chosen? To be honest, I don't really get it but I'll use this excuse to share my oshi: TM Opera O from Umamusume. I'll save the yap on how I love her for another time. Maybe "openon" would make sense? Open to suggestions on that one!

>Longtime lurker here.
lurkers? in our thread? :0 just kidding. ^^ how long have you been with us?

>It honestly makes me feel so happy knowing people cope with the same negative emotions I do and are so positive and wholesome with each other.
thank you for your kind words. that means a lot.

>I never ended up cutting myself so I'm very grateful. Still, the ideations and such persist.
glad to hear that you were able to avoid it til now. try to stay strong, ok? you can always come and talk to us about whatever. maybe it'll distract yourself.

>I'm not sure if I plan on become a consistent contributor.

>I had a meeting with my "life coach" today. They're expensive af but their work is useful at least.

>I want to get another unit of my course done. This one course is really annoying and I don't want to do it.

>Today...

>My mom vented to me and that re-opened some of my insecurities...
maybe she could get someone else she could vent to? i'm sure she got her own frustrations and issues to deal and that's ok, but maybe you aren't the right person to dump it on.

>I know she loves me but I know it would be better for her if I was gone.
that's a thought that a lot of us had at some point. i'm just glad you've made your way here so i can get to know you. at least that made me staying up to watch the game awards worth it.

>Situation's complicated but she's just very against my meds.
why is she against them?

>It seems everyone has a character/persona they've chosen?
it's easier to identify certain anons by names or the pics they post, so they don't always have to identify themself again when they post again. that's about it.

Thanks for replying to all of my random stuff, yuanon!

>lurkers?
Yes! When I was in a really bad mental state, a couple years ago (2? years ago), I discovered this thread. At first, I was looking for someplace really toxic so I was really surprised to read that it was just a couple of anons going about their life, trying to live. It was honestly a huge motivator for me.

>that's completely up to you. you can stop by every thread or once in a blue moon and you're just as welcome.
<3 thank you! I think I'll probably stay here for a little while. Honestly, though, doesn't it feel a little sad knowing that your relationship with everyone on these threads are so limited? I suppose that's the beauty of it. Still, wouldn't it be quite sad if some anon just dissappeared. All I can do is have faith that they're okay? Maybe my zoomer is showing here but that's so unfortunate.

>they better be if they're expensive. :< what does life coach do, though?
Basically, therapists can't tell you how to solve your problems, only talk about your feelings. I think that's against some code of conduct. A life coach is usually someone with a ton of life-experience that will actually help you solve your problems, offering practical advice. They do teach you their methodologies of thought too so you could implement it yourself.
If you want to be cynical about it, I'm basically paying for a father figure lmao.

>i think a lot of people here can relate. what's so bad about it?
Honestly, I'm so petty. It's just the teacher's accent is really thick so it's unintelligible. It's an online course so I could learn the content someplace else ig. I'll make it through though. thanks for asking!

hello hello anon
cute uma!
hope your day today is going well
also watch out for "life coaches"
If it's helping you that's okay but I'm very very wary of those sorts of folk
>>
>dang. what did you do?
I blame higurashi for this but scratching my neck/choking is my usual. I didn't go to the point of bleeding thankfully.
Honestly, the day after, I feel so embarrassed/ashamed about it.

"Compared to everyone else, this is nothing. Should that even count as a relapse?".
Tangentially related but that's a shame snowball, as my life coach and I call it. I find brining attention to it and recognizing it as one helps for surface level stuff.
For deeper rooted negative judgements, more work needs to be done. I can share what I do if other anons find it interesting.

I've been keeping a journal lately and I wrote about the experience a bit in my journal yesterday.
Pencil and paper as your form of journal is just unbeatable (at least for me). Tried programming my own digital journalling system mutliple times.
Would highly recommend it to any other anons.

>maybe she could get someone else she could vent to?
you're very emotionally cogniscent, yuanon!
Without going too much into it, she's had a rough life, typical single mother situation pretty much.
I honestly think she needs a therapist/life coach way more than I do but she won't spend that money on herself.
I've been thinking that's a tangible life goal to work towards: "Earn enough money to send my mom to therapy".

>meds
She used to trust me so much but me taking these meds, without her knowing, was a huge breach of trust.
I admit it was wrong but taking these meds helps me become who I want to be.
I'm so much more productive, which snowballs into me believing in myself more, which snowballs into being happier in general.

I can feel the tension this Christmas as we dance around this topic lol.

>name
"operanon" makes so much more sense lol. good suggestion.

>game awards
How was the game awards? Any announcments that got you excited for?
I saw the clips of Geoff Keighley saying "Uma *MA*sume" lol but that's about it.

thanks, cat! I have a weakness for the flambouyant, princely, flirtatious types >///<. Tamaki from Ouran was my first love.
>also watch out for "life coaches"
I appreciate your concern, cat. I was really hesitant when my mom suggested it but this particular guy seems to be working out for me.
Honestly, a lot of his teaching and stuff has been fairly inoffensive, like "Let's plan a morning routine, build accountability" or "Let's discuss how to talk with your mom about the meds" and stuff like that.
The only red flag I noticed is that he is religious and I'm not (nothing against religion; I just didn't grow up in a religious household). He overcame self hate by becoming religious and believing that something greater had unconditional love for him, which snowballed into believing that he is worthy of love, which helped him overcome his stuff.
I honestly find that idea very charming. However, it's not something I believe in so we're trying different approaches. Currently, I'm trying to solve the problem by creating an algorithm to run through when I notice I'm ruminating. Gosh, I'm such a nerd lol.

Do y'all ruminate on self hate? or have you overcome this through other means? If so, I'd be happy to hear it.

btw food review!
today I opened those canned sardines I bought a while ago
I put the can in hot water to heat them up and I ate them, my rating 5/10
I like the on their own though they was a bit too many on them there I think about 12 and I'd rather eat just 8

aha by budget, I mean budget the thing I have the least of right now, which is to say my time :< I have to schedule everything I do with how busy I am
>canned sardines
these are one of those things many people find gross, but few times I had them they were good.
>about 12 and I'd rather eat just 8
that is a bit too much for something like that too I feel. Man, I haven't had any seafood in a while, but planning on cooking a stew with a lot of it tomorrow

Hello everyone.

I, personally, want to say that I am fine and well.
>>83371441
It depends on the variety and preparation, /cat/, but I think they are much more palatable at room temperature if straight out of the can.

Also, did you play Silent Hill 1 or 2?

it does. more than just little, honestly. but it makes you cherish the connections that last as well as the ones that only lasted a while. i'm just happy i met the people that i did here.

nah. i'm feeling the same and that's why i try to stay connected via discord, but you just spread yourself too thin when you do that with everyone you meet. i had to learn it the hard way.

just the usual shill event and not really. divinity from larian was one of the most gruesome things i've seen in a trailer, though. i'll keep eyes on total war: warhammer 40k, but i didn't like any tw games since medieval 2 and i already forgot all the rest. and i finally get what all the other people see when another dark western fantasy souls-like is announced. for the life of me i can't stand all those chinese mythology action games. they all look the same! >:[

The way I veiw this is like a made for tv disney movie. I stopped expecting human conversation 5 minutes in. The joke at the end "why do we have to do this in the rain" ligit made me laugh because it was the most human dialog in the whole movie.

>is that an anime?
Anime/VN. It's really good but insanely gorey. There's a lot of scenes where characters claw their neck.
I was exaggerating a bit by making it seem like it's the only cause.

>guess uncle iroh is my life coach
Didn't actually grow up with ATLA unfortunately but I've heard Uncle Iroh is the goat. That's some poetry.

>you're a good person.
<3. Thanks yuanon. I'm trying my best.

>always good to learn how others are dealing with what life throws at them
Sure! So, this is more of a fix for the habit of rumination than solving self-hate:

The most difficult part is the prep work beforehand
- I wrote a list of every negative judgement I have about myself such as "I am ugly", "I am stupid" etc
- I came up with only around 15 during my first week, a much smaller number than I expected.
- Then, I forgive myself for the thought, literally write: "I forgive myself for thinking I am X".
- Then, I write a response: "The truth is Y". For example, "the truth is I look pretty good. When I style my hair and wear clothes I like, I feel really confident about my sense of style!"
- Key here is that it can't be a direct negation like "I am NOT ugly". It needs to be a unqiue statement.
- Way easier said than done ofc, especially when it's a belief you've held for a really long time.

During moments of spiralling, I go through this process:
- Forgive myself for having the thought (in my head)
- If it's a negative judgement I've had already:
- Reference the list and repeat the pre-determined response
- At this point, I usually stop spiralling. Recognizing the spiral and having a counter is enough 99% of the time.
- If I continue, I make a note that this part needs improvement.
- else: (very unlikely)
- Write it down to process later

I'm still going through this process myself. It might be useful trying if you feel like you too have been in the self-hate rut for far too long.

that's the most annoying part of international shipping by far. that's why i usually opt for something like ups. can't be a bit annoying to get it delivered to your door, but at least it doesn't have to change hands and they are good at handling customs. can be very pricey, though.

I'm still going through this process myself. It might be useful trying if you feel like you too have been in the self-hate rut for far too long.

If any anons try this exercise, let me know how it goes. I'll be happy to help out based on my understanding.

Side note to any anons who also believe they're ugly. You're not. It sounds like a careless blanket statement but it's true.
The only problem I've seen with people is that they might not know how to style themselves.
Also, confidence is everything. If you feel more confident dressing in some niche style, then go for it. Confidence does make you look better.
When I was at uni, the most charismatic dude dressed like he was a mustache twirling spy movie villain.

>it's the only thing i can use as an agent to fuel my desire to change and get better
It's probably one of the best motivators but a really unhealthy one that can also easily backfire. I'm sure you recognize that though.

>fnaf movie
I know it's just hollywood execs milking nostalgia but I did enjoy the first one, though maybe that was just the experience instead of the movie itself: I dressed hyper-formal for the showing and it was nice seeing kids and staff get a chuckle out of it.
Haven't seen the second one yet though. Maybe I'll do something fun for that too.

>most people would rather a life coach over a therapist.
at least it's of much more immediate use. maybe a combination would work best or at least would show what you need to focus on

>I'll probably end up just reading the slides than watching the lectures.

>>83379225
>that's probably the worst crime a movie can make
yup. just a waste of time, money and good will. though the michael bay transformers movies a friend dragged us to were physically painful for me to sit through. that shit and the hobbit movies made me loath the whole cinema experience.

>made for tv disney movie
isn't that all disney movies these days?

>it was the most human dialog in the whole movie.
makes sense. characters hardly ever feel human these days, so when something like that comes along, it's an actual highlight

>The theather was filled with childern.
guess it's a horror ip for children, then? reminds me of stuff like goosebumps show back in the day.

>And you know what, that's probably a good thing.

ah, ok. probably not something i should engage with (^-^;)

>I've heard Uncle Iroh is the goat. That's some poetry.
yeah. i watched some of his scenes and they hit pretty hard, even after all this time. can recommend the series.

>I'm trying my best.
and that's what matters.

>this is more of a fix for the habit of rumination than solving self-hate
interesting ideas. not sure if it's something for me, but never count something out before you try it, i suppose.

>It might be useful trying if you feel like you too have been in the self-hate rut for far too long.
i probably have been, but it's usually more about things that i let happen to myself a long time ago and it's more about that i let it happen than the current state of things. not that there's any way i could have acted differently. i didn't have the knowledge i have now back then. things are how they are and i can't see that change. i've mostly accepted that. it's just when i'm really stressed and worn out that these old thoughts come back. they usually go away when i had time to mentally recharge. still, thanks for mapping out the process. i'll think about it.

>>83379557
>that's so insane lol
pretty much. really didn't expect that.

>haha there are a lot of those.
guess it's just time for that setting now. not my cup of tea, so i'll just sit those out.

i do. i'm not dwelling on it or anything like that, but i do recognize that i want to change because i don't like how things are.

I struggle with this too. The thing it's easy to become a perfectionist. I sometimes feel every time I'm successful with something, it highlights my failures or imperfections more, and frustrates me. Objectively, I can see I did some incredible things, but still hard to be happy with how far you came. I think the key is doing that, maybe being happy you tried your best, but easier said than done

Even people going for actual photoshoots(which this wasn't what this was) don't seem to dress up it seems since I see it a bunch. You wear a shirt with a color or real pants you're 10 times more upscale than majority of people. Not judging others by how they dress, but really trying to say is that I standout a bit. But I like it. People dress nice in bigger cities all the time I see. Maybe it's more show offy someplaces, but see no problem with doing it for fun
>what are the pics for?

>it's one of those, isn't it?
I can't say for certain, I'm not very far. I've just heard vaguely this can be painful and speaking from experience, I enjoy Chainsaw Man, but it's also quite mean and painful to the reader and traumatized me greatly. Plus Fujimoto is actually probably for real crazy (or trying very convincingly to seem so)

>wear a shirt with a color or real pants you're 10 times more upscale than majority of people
pretty much. though i see all kinds of people wearing different styles in my store and it's usually older folk who still care about that kind of dresscode the most.

>I standout a bit
you probably would even without dressing up, but i get you. you still have that tiny bit of glamour that most people already have given up on. makes you suspicious.

>People dress nice in bigger cities all the time I see. Maybe it's more show offy someplaces, but see no problem with doing it for fun
to me it's a uniform like any other and usually connected to a way of thinking i thoroughly despise, so i just can't bring myself to wear something like that. that said, i don't think it'd suit me anyway and i wouldn't feel comfortable at all. guess i'm just overthinking it. as always.

>gf just wants pics of us out doing stuff holiday time and was demanding about how I dressed lol
ah, i get it. as long as you have fun yourself it's fine, i suppose.

>sure, but we should demand quality entertainment especially when it is for kids. that's the stuff that stays with you.
I'm not sure about this desu. On one hand, you're right. If we just let LLM AIs write stories for kids, then humans might actually get dumber. It's like a copy of a copy. At the same time, we got along fine without kids movies for a long time. Maybe it doesn't matter that much? Or maybe we've lost enough things from previous eras that the new cultural things are immportant.
I think I'm just thinking outloud at this point.

> still care about that kind of dresscode the most.
I can respect that, but also don't see the need to go to that extreme. I don't think it matters so much what you wear, just try not to look like you just rolled out of bed in whatever you're wearing.
>makes you suspicious.
How I feel anytime I see anyone walking around with suit and tie. Though I saw a guy walking around looking like Morpheus and that won it for me.
>connected to a way of thinking
agreed. Those are usually the places they probably would judge you entirely based on brand you're wearing. Rather take the pajama pants folks more since with the others if you dress beneath your lesser, dress the same they're annoyed, and above them they're jealous. No winning move with some of those types.

> just look at the made in abyss guy

>I guess so.
it's odd. i think the last disney movies i watched were the princess and the frog and tangled and even back then i thought to myself that these movies lost something. well, technically the last disney movies i watched were the star wars movies, but you know what i mean.

>goosebumps books followed a set of logic and plot construction
and they got really eerie moments sometimes. someone really needs to tell that they need to build up tension to earn the payoff of a release. and no, jumpscares don't count.

>then humans might actually get dumber.
there's lot of reasons why people get dumber. chemicals, inbreeding, being fed a constant stream of lies through news media. the list goes on, but i'd argue that not being challenged during your formative years also is one.

>then humans might actually get dumber.
i'm pretty sure we've been telling stories since we developed language. it's a crucial tool in our success as a species. the medium might have changed, but it's still one of the most important skills we have to pass on information.

>I don't think it matters so much what you wear, just try not to look like you just rolled out of bed in whatever you're wearing.
i think that look is mostly people who have given up already, are tired and way beyond pretending they aren't. would be nice if it was different, but people need to have purpose and a sense of community to start caring again.

>How I feel anytime I see anyone walking around with suit and tie.

>Though I saw a guy walking around looking like Morpheus and that won it for me.

>No winning move with some of those types.
a strange game. the only winning move is not to play.

>functional training i suppose!
it is. some of the stuff is really insane. had a package about the size of a brick that weighed about 6kg. really didn't expect that and wrote in on the package to warn my coworkers. if you just try to grab something like that off the shelf while walking past, that could end badly. ^^'

>I still use that a lot for daily cooking for convenience, but special weekend dishes have to do it right
sure. these days there a better brands around, but here they sell some really shitty ones (usually with some tv chef on the label to make it appear more trustworthy).

>very excessively cruel and ruthless villains
which is ok as long as they get what they deserve. we have enough pieces of shit get away irl. don't need that in my fiction as well.

i filled out the name this time. wow! instead of specifying in the body text.
i had a group oral final exam today. nightmare fuel but at least it was friends. towards the beginning it became very clear that we had prepared a question incorrectly. dug my nails into the knuckles of my other hand. no blood no marks but there are still a few little red lines ~5 hours later. i looked at them in fear because i didn't know the answer and after the exam they both commented that my expression was genuinely unsettling. we got an A thoughbeit.
also. my college does a silly matchmaker quiz thing and i decided to do it to microdose putting myself back out there. today i sent the girl i matched with an email asking if she wanted to get ice cream or something. my friends pointed out afterwards that this is a date and i was asking her out on a date. my dumb ass genuinely did not process that this is what a Date was. perhaps this fag is not as normal as he purports to be!

>rooting for the villains on too many occasions.
always great when the writer can't come up with a convincing reason why the villain is wrong and has to be stopped or the heros are so unlikable or stupid that you just want them dead. worst example for that is legend of korra. every villain was justified. one actually got bestowed with nihilist-airbender-superpowers by the universe after all his friends got murked by the heroes, his girlfriend especially gruesome. she could explode things by looking at them, this is what happened:

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VMO70D16dG4&pp=ygUda29ycmEgemFoZWVyIGdpcmxmcmllbmQgZGVhdGg%3D

so bad they could just imply what happened and had to cut away super quickly to keep their rating.

>certain manga writers getting fed up with publishers and stopped caring
yeah. black lagoon is being held hostage by the publishers. no wonder the authors get mad.

bed time now. good night

I think it's worth to evaluate how you approach the game. Unless you're looking at it as an esport, I think setting elo goals is an easy way to get upset at yourself.
For example, I had friends who were super into League but now just play the casual/for fun modes. They still keep up with the competitive scene but only as a spectator.

Yeah, I remember watching korra too. The main cast of heroes didn't at all feel like a cohesive group I think was one of the biggest issues in hindsight, which kinda made it hard to develop any of them. That and too many genuinely unlikable moments

that's tough since like all of them I've gotten to really. My initial favorite was Daiwa Scarlet, fond of her perfectionism. I like King Halo too because the whole disapproving mom wanting her to stop. And then Maruzensky because i too am out of touch with everyone around me

didn't think it was, but I think the hardest thing with getting help is what is meaningful and helpful for one person, isn't another. I'd say it's best to focus on trying to improve what you can, even if it doesn't help now, since it'll put you in a better position if something does flip at some point.
>I think these are overhated

>The main cast of heroes didn't at all feel like a cohesive group I think was one of the biggest issues in hindsight
yeah. everyone just got sidetracked into their own plotlines that didn't really pay off. can't even remember why they sticked together to begin with.

>That and too many genuinely unlikable moments
agreed. like korra never being able to learn airbending on her own. just fucked up and bitched about it until the universe had enough and just unlocked it for her via completely unearned avatar state. exactly want i want to happen to the hero of my story. or the whole relationship drama that dragged on way too long to also just end nowhere. the longer the show went on, the more good will the crew loses.

>they did zaheer dirty.
and he's completely right! the universe gives you literal superpowers for detaching yourself from everything! why do you write that into your young adult action cartoon?

"but he's a fraud!!" - "doesn't refute anything he says about benders in the slightest..." - "yeah, but he got beat up by the end, so that means he's morally wrong and the people just forget about the grievances that made them follow him in an instant!"

thanks, tv-show. seriously, if you don't want to actually bother to answer the questions you raise, why bring it up? the show took every wrong turn at every opportunity. you can't be that wrong by just choosing random outcomes. lok is an exceptional piece of media to study when it comes to catastrophically failing at every point when writing media.

Hey everynyan. I'm feeling way better.
Wish I could've spent my weekend a bit better, probably would've continued this VN I was playing.
I suppose it's good that I'm not going to get behind on my course work tho.

>>83386814
>rhythm games
oh sick. Honestly haven't heard of any of those besides Taiko. The arcades where I'm at are unfortunately pretty barren but I remember, when I visited Japan, I was surprised at the variety of arcade games they had. Lots of unique stuff that weren't just a dumbed down version of just playing the instrument itself.

>favorite umas
I totally understand liking all of them. I remember trying to make a tier list of the umas with a friend but we couldn't fathom putting any of them below B tier.
I also like King Halo because of her mommy issues (just like me frfr ;-;).
I like a lot of the more (relatively) masc Umas like Vodka, Sirius Symboli, K.S. Miracle.
>anime
Well, let me know when you end up getting the chance to finish it! I remember when the anime came out back in 2018/17, I cringed at the scene of Torena checking out Spe's legs but I was glad to see that was mostly a one-time joke and the relationship is mostly portrayed as Father/Daughter.

Didn't end up checking out Kaiji. That's the gambling anime, right?

>things are bothering you
It's no problem to share. I just worry about trauma dumping since I do that a lot and have made a lot of people uncomfortable but, I suppose if anyone is willing to listen, it'd be you guys!

I deal a lot with self-hate. I used to be unable to go a day without sincerely wishing for something bad to happen to me.
Since you seem to be a Vocaloid fan, I can explain it like so: I used to exclusively listen to Nashimoto Ui and Nekobolo lmao.

In the past couple months, I've done some insane work on this though. It's a process of course and probably one I'll continue on for the rest of my life.
I can talk a bit about my recent self improvement journey if it becomes relevant but it'd be naiive to think the words that affected me so deeply are the exact same words someone else needs to hear.

Keeping a physical diary, I'd say, is the most generic great advice I could give to anyone.

>>83391903
I totally get it, yuanon. Small talk really sucks but I cope with it to see if these ppl share my sense of humor or not.
The topics of convo were generally pretty weird. Sometimes, some dude would be screen-sharing his gameplay, making racist jokes or smthn. Good conversation starters were stuff like "how'd you choose your username/pfp?"
I had a lot of good convos and people I could see myself talking to again but didn't for whatever reason. Some of them did friend me and I think I could've probably dm'd them to continue the relationship but I didn't feel like it.
>whimsy
Well, don't do anything that makes you uncomfortable ofc but it could be something simple like taking a different path when walking home. Seems like you already have the right idea though.
>i try to accept them
I see. Well, that's all we can do, right?

>>83392055

don't know about that. Thing is most people who live those types of places have been in that their whole life more rural areas. Oh I hear you on that. That one delivery I got was awkward to get a handle on too, which I feel can make even lighter stuff a pain
>he didn't accept it
someone lucked out on that one
>conveniently forget about all the heinous shit they did
For me, I find extremely evil stuff actually adds to my appreciation of certain characters. Varies case by case, but think it often increases the appreciation of characteristics I like and often can handled interestingly, even if not "sympathetic".
>why they sticked together to begin with
I had to look up the cast since I couldn't remember anyone but Korra's name and I swear I forgot Asami was even a character and have no idea what anyone did after book 1 lol
>>
>>83392443

I was mad af about that part. Stop follow the only guy who cared about making a difference because it turned out he was a bender. I know it's a kids show but what the hell lol i feel like if they didn't need to have the plot resolved for antagonist each book, it would be a little better. It felt like they ran out of time with book 1 or something and just needed an excuse to wrap up right there or something

have to be a little more thoughtful I guess. More difficult to film anything. I still like having the little pocket computer, I suppose it's more mindset than anything. We have more ability to do things, but put less thought into them.

Mostly diary writing and weekly reflections. It's been a helpful exercise since I basically analyze myself as an entity separate of myself if that makes sense? Like, without any ego. I can kind of see what direction that might take. Self hate usually comes from thinking you aren't living up to what you perceive you should be, which in a way depends up you expecting that you should be a certain way, even if it isn't the case.

a big problem with all that nonsense. Same thing with what happened to cars too (though I suppose I can't fix regular cars either) but it got to the point otherwise reliable car became worse because of adding tech that wasn't needed.

hey chev
>pick that shit up.
sure you'll get it one of these days. Just hopefully don't have to force yourself last day
>gaming just fucking sucks man.
least as far as online games, I agree with you. Haven't found one of those I liked in years now

>>83400536
> probably being baited.
never know if you don't give it a chance. Just try not to feel to negative about it going in. That itself can ruin chances if you go in expecting the worse, even if things would be good otherwise.

>as long as it includes other people and isn't just funkomaxxing
it usually does and i've never liked those things, so i guess i'm good.

>you seem to have a good handle on it
at least i hope so.

>>83392655
>I cope with it to see if these ppl share my sense of humor or not.
hard to find people that do.

>The topics of convo were generally pretty weird.
guess it was just whatever came to mind?

>I didn't feel like it.
sometimes you just drift apart or just don't have the mental capacity to include another person in your life. it's sad, but it happens.

>don't do anything that makes you uncomfortable ofc
easier said than done. most things do. ^^'

>it could be something simple like taking a different path when walking home
i hardly ever have the energy for things like that. i just want to head home and be done with the day. doesn't help that i drive home and that it's usually quite late already when i do.

>that's all we can do, right?
at least i don't know if there is anything else.

>Is that version of yourself now unachievable? or do you think you could still reach it at some point?
i can only get closer to it, but i'll never reach it.

>>83393379
>I didn't realise how British I was until I moved.
i suppose that's true. we get shaped by our environment after all. where did you move to?

>Although that's probably my fault for sending a 3.5kg package...
bigger issue than the weight is probably that the uk isn't part of the eu anymore. those packages tend to cost more than the ones send to eu-countries here as well.

>>83395625
>don't know about that.
i think i know what you mean. i can't be bothered to take an interest in local affairs either.

>the Vans logo is fine since it just means you probably like skating.
as long if it's a quality item it doesn't really matter either way.

>How are you doing today?
I'm doing okay, had some big ups and downs today but overall am doing okay. What about you cat?

>Any plans for today?
It's currently quite late so I might simply go to sleep. I have therapy tomorrow.

>When was the last time you hurt yourself?
Hmmm.. I think it was a week ago, I'm trying my best to stay clean lately.

>Why did you hurt yourself?
The urges got too hard to ignore, but it'll all be okay soon.

>Is there anything bothering you right now?
Not really! Wanna talk about yourself for a bit tho?

>was awkward to get a handle on too, which I feel can make even lighter stuff a pain
it really is. nothing get me angrier than something i can't get a good grip on. usually means that i'll be bumping into something as well while i try to get it where it's supposed to go.

>someone lucked out on that one
didn't have to handle a heavy package, did have to deal with a pissed customer. there's no winning here.

>extremely evil stuff actually adds to my appreciation of certain characters
i can see why, but i do have my limits.

>even if not "sympathetic".
not every good character has to be. erebus from warhammer 40k is one of the most hated characters in fiction and he's rightfully earned that place. he's one of the guys you love to hate.

>I had to look up the cast since I couldn't remember anyone but Korra's name and I swear I forgot Asami was even a character and have no idea what anyone did after book 1
i remember asami because her relationship with korra was a complete asspull just because i saw them shove it in doesn't make it less of one >:[. other than that... bolin and his brother (can't remember the name), tenzin and his family (names are gone as well). there's some very disjointed plotpoints i still remember, but overall it's just gone.

>>83395667
>I was mad af about that part.
me too. they set up way better pay offs as well. like korra not actually being the avatar, but a bender that's able to control three elements and amon being aang.

>i feel like if they didn't need to have the plot resolved for antagonist each book, it would be a little better
agreed. the villains just feel wasted in this show. each of them could have carried more than just one chapter easily.

>just needed an excuse to wrap up right there
they did have to change studios between seasons, so maybe that had something to do with it. in the end, it doesn't matter. they ruined something that could have been great with their writing alone.

hi chev! (^-^)

>gaming just fucking sucks man. so does everything else tbf
i know that feeling. maybe pick up a book for a change?

>helped me to work out the headcanon a bit tho
to the best of my abilities. don't know much about the knight-houses. ^^'

that's rough. sorry that happened to you. :< i know it's not much, but you're always welcome to come here and share your thoughts with us.

>i love ruining all relationships which are important to me bc of bpd
do you want to talk about what happened?

>>83400999

Yes! I will charge my phone and be ready for tomorrow. Trying to get an early rest tonight.
>I hope you like it if you play it
Ooh. okay. I'll definitely pick it up when it's on sale. Funnily enough, when I went to check it on steam, it was already in my wishlist. Guess I saw it while scrolling around.
>agora road forum
Never heard of that but, from a cursory glance, it looks like a pretty well designed forum.
>if you ever have anything interesting
sure!

>secretly a weeb
Yeah. I remember getting made fun of for being a weeb so much and now it's normal? Like, why did I have to go through all that?
>travel
Oh ok. Sounds like you're very well-traveled at least, much more than the average American I've met.
>Still in Love
Still in Love is so pretty... From the expected schedule, Still in Love will probably be out sometime in 2028.... Sirius Symboli should come out in early 2027.
>shipping
Ah. Understandable. Side note: I really like Agnes Digital. She feels like a love letter to fans like me.
>that kind of introspection is easier out of the moment
Yeah. fs.
>what direction that might take
Woah. Again, very well put officeanon!
>very new to vocaloid
Oh really? I wouldn't have thought so. I can send some recommendations when I get the chance.
>stopped caring what people think a bit
That sounds good! I've been trying to do that myself, reclaiming parts of myself I used to find cringe/dislike and accepting it with love. Sounds ultra-cheesy like that but you get the point lol.

>hard to find people that do.
Yeah. It's been a bit difficult but I find that it's not too bad. Usually, I throw around the names of a few youtubers who have similar sense of humor to me and see if they know them.
>most things do
:( why do you say that?
>guess it was just whatever came to mind?
pretty much. Didn't really have a direct goal in mind there.
>i can only get closer to it, but i'll never reach it.
makes me sad to hear this, yuanon, but I believe in you. saying a definite "never" feels a bit unrealistic but I believe that's how you feel. Goals can change and stuff too.
Well, you seem mentally stable enough so I won't keep beating this dead horse unless you want to.
