How do I fix gamer posture? My head/neck lurches forward, I feel so disgusted when I see my side profile or shadow
>>
>>83414615
This. I'm doing pushups everyday for months, and the prone cobra stretch for 3 minutes everyday, but I still have disgusting forward head posture. I'm not overweight and I do bodyweight exercise, I just don't lift because I'm too spergy to go to a gym.

it's ok anons, it can be easily fixed and it's pretty common. Doing pushups and the prone cobra is very good, but it really only works if you do it every day and you do it right. For the pushups you have to squeeze your core, go all the way down until your chin touches the floor and bringing your shoulders together, as if you wanted to puff your chest out as you go down. If that's too hard you can also put your knees down instead of your feet.

Start doing three consecutive sets of 10 pushups every day in the morning if nothing hurts. Then stretch by doing the cobra for 30 seconds after the 3 sets of pushups.

what do both of you do for a living anyway?
>>
>>83414679
I sit at a desk typing all day, but I'm pretty free to get up every few minutes and walk around, which I do constantly. What I've been doing is one set of 30 pushups, then one of 20, then one of 10 (these all push me to failure but lately I can do about 35 pushups on set 1), then I do the cobra for 2 1.5 minute sets. I can feel my postural muscles in the upper back have improved for sure and its no longer painful or stranied feeling, but in the mirror I can still see I look ridiculous and have the forward head posture to some degree. Is there a way I can fix this without going to lift weights? I just don't want to enter a gym. Thanks.

I'll take your advice on my pushups btw, I've been getting really close to the floor but not so close that my chin touches it.

Whenever I do pigeon pose or similar hip stretches where I cross my leg over, the lateral part of my knee/calf hurts along the tibia from just below the knee to about halfway down. It's been about 2 weeks of this.
>>
>>83414701
Ok try this:
Sit down with your nose pointing directly forward, then bring your head back like you want to get a double chin. Keep it there for a few seconds without moving, you should feel the lower part of your neck tense up a little. Then try to look at the ceiling tilting your head back without losing the double chin. It should be easy if that's not the problem.

aside from that, have you had any diagnosed spined issues anon?

Will pulling on my dick really hard everyday actually make it bigger?
>>
>>83414758
what kind of pain is it? tell me from this which one gets closest:

stabbing
stretching
pinching
numbing
shocking (like an electric current zaps you)

from what you tell me it sounds like you're just overstretching your sciatic nerve. Do you happen to feel a similar pain if you bring the painful knee to your chest? try the supine pigeon on both legs and tell me the results

don't pull too hard or you can tear the corpus cavernosum.
It does work to an extent, since the penis is kind of like a hybrid between a sponge, a balloon and a muscle. The corpus cavernosum can't really be fixed since it's mostly determined by genetics, but you can "train" the corpus spongiosum (see picrel). Can't promise you short term changes, but you can make it a few cms longer with daily jelqing exercises.

Here are my afflictions
>mild scoliosis
>gamer posture
>tight hamstrings, can't sit up with my legs fully extended
>tmj disorder
>pain in knees or achilles whenever i run further than a mile on the treadmill
>>
>>83414615
does your neck or upper back hurt when you do any certain movement?
>>
>>83414811
I dont feel any pain when I bring the knee to my chest. The pain is right below the knee, kind of where the top of the peronius longinus sits on the lateral shin/calf/knee. The pain is stinging in nature and only happens when I bring my leg across, on when I squat down on my toes and put excessive strain on my knee/calf
>>
>>83414773
I can't really do that. I can do the pushing the head back into my neck part, but to look up and tilt my head back it has to go forward again. I've never been diagnosed with anything but my mom was crazy growing up, so I have pretty much never been to a doctor.
>>
>>83414923
the scoliosis is okay as long as you can develop a good life and it doesn't present any serious issues. You'd be surprised of how many people have some degree of scoliosis and don't even realize it.
For the gamer posture try this >>83414773 and tell me how it feels.
For your tight hamstrings try this one leg at a time, but you might need someone to help you out (if you live alone let me know and I can give you some adjustments):
>Lay down prone with your knees fully flexed
>Tell your helper to extend your knees up until the point where you can't extend them anymore
>Tell your helper to keep your knee from flexing by holding your ankle and pushing against your force, applying a lot of resistance to keep your leg from moving as you try to flex your knee as hard as you can for 5 seconds
>Then, tell your helper to extend your knee a little past the initial limitation, then keep it there for a few seconds.
>repeat past 3 steps until your knee is fully extended

you can apply the same procedure with your ankle, where you'll have to push and curl your toes downwards (like you're trying to tippy toe) and your helper will bring your toes towards your shin.

sorry about your TMJ, I wish I could see you in person to better help you out but the only thing I can recommend you is to rub your masseters and temples to relieve the pain a little.

Why do I have such shitty balance? I lost all the weight and I lift but I'm still so easily knocked over and clumsy.

Try doing a foot inversion, then an eversion, tell me the results.
>>
>>83415041
ok, that's something you can slowly progress to.
Start doing the following:
>bring your chin to your chest
>without separating your chin from your chest, try bringing your head backwards as far as you can.
>hold that position for 10 seconds and relax for a few seconds

do these 5 reps 3 times a day for a few weeks, it's just 3 minutes every day and you can do them basically anywhere if you don't mind funny looks.

>>83415069
Have you ever had some accident where you hit your head or lost oxygen for a long period of time?
Try the following test:
>standing up, put your feet together and cross your arms
>count 20 to 30 seconds and write down how many times you lost your balance or swayed to the sides/forward/backwards
>if you had no issues with the step above, try it again but with your eyes closed. Again, write down the amount of times you swayed significantly or lost your balance and how long you could do it without fully losing your balance.

It's called the Romberg test btw if you wanna know.

don't know if it fits but iv noticed the back of my head has become flatter with a dent near the bottom and the fat from it is sitting at the top of my neck either that or its swollen is there any way to fix this
>>
>>83414586
Any advice on how to effectively strengthen the knees and avoid pain?
>>
Any fix for a crooked spine and hunch?
>>
>>83415404
it's just common bodyfat anon, it's normal with genetics and the way your skin creases because of the way you move. Try upper traps exercises to strengthen your neck. As long as you can have a good life with that, I see that as a complete success!
>>
>>83415463
loooots of stretching and rubber band exercises make your knees bulletproof. Take advantage of the whole range of movement and always do slow, steady rubber band exercises to strengthen all the muscles that keep your knees stable.
>>
>>83415493
try this >>83414773 and this >>83414679
and tell me how it goes
>>
>>83415141
The inversion feels tight, but not exactly painful. Though I may not be doing it far enough
>>
My knees hurt from standing, walking, lifting every day also I think I have tear in my right knee. Kind of a stabby soreness in both knees, that is my biggest ailment
>>
>>83414586
I have crazy lower back pain that shoots to my leg when I run.
I'm trying to run a decent 5mile so i can pass a training program i'm in how fix Johnon Sins?
>>
>>83415732
does it feel tight around the area where it normally hurts? if that's the case you might have a plantaris longus contraction or shortening. I suggest you do the Muscle Energy Technique to stretch it while keeping your knee bent. Then try the pigeon pose.
You might also be overstretching your common fibular nerve.
>>
>>83415756
do you have a persistent pain even when you're resting with your knees bent/flexed?
>>
>>83415814
Good luck on your training program bro!

I would suggest you try an elliptical bike for a few days and check how the pain goes.

High impact activities like running may increase the chance of a discal hernia or radiculopathy, so please try the following tests.

1. do the cow yoga pose, tell me if that replicates the pain
2. try the child pose and same, tell me if the pain gets better or worse
3. lay down on your back with both legs straight and ask a partner to flex one of your legs as far as you can go with your back flat on a solid surface.
4. sitting down, hold your breath and engage your core to increase the pressure in your abdomen.

Pls let me know if any of these tests replicate the pain you usually have.
>>
>>83416162
I don't think so. I'm sitting and I feel it but it's after work
>>
>>83416240
what do you do for a living? (kinda have to ask to know your level of physical activity, you can just tell me what you do, no need for a deep explanation if you don't want to)
>>
>>83416323
warehouse basically, sometimes heavy furniture moving but that doesn't hurt any worse really, worse would be standing all day working at tables
>>
>>83414586
My physiotherapist keeps asking me to fix stuff to her. Today she asked me to fix her laptop and two days ago she asked my to fix her equipment. I came to the realization that she's a dumb person. I do martial arts with two physiotherapists, but my health insurance doesn't cover them so I just keep fishing for some tips while I talk about my fucked up knees with them.
>>
>>83416157
It feels tight where it hurts, and when I do inversions while my leg is in the pigeon position it hurts more, and when I do eversions in that pose the pain it reduced.
