I was over at one of his apartment buildings earlier this week fixing a boiler and he said it with a little regret that he would've liked me as a son in law but it's unfortunate his girls aren't interested. I didn't even bring up dating his daughters. I tried a few times years ago to make something happen and had long gotten over the idea and moved past it, but the last few weeks I've been doing a lot of work for them (not working at the restaurant but other contracting work) and my coworkers discovered that I had a few good looking single women in my life and have given me no end of grief about my failure to lock one of them down and it's gotten me thinking about it again, and then again this week with what their father said. I already think of them as my second family and they kinda think of me the same.

I'm going over there tomorrow to replace some parts in that boiler to make a temporary fix I did tuesday less temporary, and I'm going over to the girls' new apartment building on saturday (they're living in one unit and renting the other two out) to spray foam their crawlspace so their pipes don't freeze up again. >>83425232I think it was definitely a tactical L to tell them that I like them both and either would make me happy several years ago, but going forward I think I'd focus on the younger one because the older one I'm pretty sure would stab me if I tried to make a move on her again. She got teased a lot when we were teens by the kitchen staff about us getting together. Also I think I have longer and better chats with the younger one.
