Don't smoke, anon-bros... I started smoking when I was around the age of 11. I'm 25 now, and I had my last smoke on August 25th, 2025. It's been over 110 days since my last smoke. Alas, the damage to my lungs and skin have been bad. I wish I would have quit sooner...
Im pretty sure if you don't smoke before becoming a teenager you'll be relatively fine
>>83429215>Don't smoke, anon-brosI tried nicotine 4 times in my life and every time it made me nauseous with cold sweats. Don't know why anyone pursues that "high" when weed exists, which is just objectively better.
>>83429223Most body damage from drinking/smoking comes from doing it much. Your body heals itself over time and if you dont overwhelm it, you don't go past the 'threshold" of what is too muchTobacco is a nootropic, smart people smoke for a reason
>>83429223Smoking is bad for you no-matter-what age you start at. I really wish I would have quit sooner. I highly doubt that most people who have smoked for decades look back at it, and say, "Yep, I'm so glad I continued this vice".
>>83429215Tobacco is one of those things that's enjoyable on rare occasions. If you consume it too regularly addiction sets in, the nicotine buzz goes away, and you start to experience negative effects and health related consequences. But having a smoke with a coffee and book or with drinks and company is enjoyable every once in a while
>>83429215I wish these things didn't exist. I know so many people in poverty who spend hundreds of dollars a month on cigarettes. The house my mom lives in has white walls in it, today they're visibly yellow from all the smoke from her cigarettes. I'd give anything if she'd quit but she has no desire too and instead complains about being broke all the time. She's not even THAT bad of a smoker, she smokes like 16 a day, I'm just glad she's not sucking down a pack plus.
>>83429231That's the initial buzz and that's what turns people off from smoking. You probably inhaled too much or too long, but I'm glad you don't need it. Nicotine is literally game changing for me. I luckily don't get extreme cravings for cigarettes but I smoke regularly and have for years now and I'm still very healthy>>83429246I am always grateful for posts like these because yeah I smoke like 3 or 4 cigarettes a day, I'll chain smoke if I'm socializing though, but my normal consumption isn't that bad I suppose.
>>83429246I wish they didn't exist either. My uncle died young from heart failure (if I'm not mistaken) in his 30s. From what I've heard from my mom, he was quite the smoker.
>>83429259>I'll chain smoke if I'm socializing thoughThat reminds me. One day, I was hanging out with an old buddy of mine, and in that day, I had smoked 60 cigarettes (or more?) in one day. I was just chainsmoking like mad. I'm so glad I quit now.
23, never smoked cigs in my life. I did try weed though, it was okay but I kept greening out so I quitted. I even tried edibles, same thing.
>>83429343They are both trash for you. Stay away from them both.
what do you anons think of stuff like cigarillos and pipe? i tried some and liked it quite a lot but what i hear from smokers (and see and smell, honestly) kinda spooks me.
>>83429215I started when I was 21 and quit three months ago aged 29. I managed to get out without much damage, but towards the end the cortisol spikes of vaping was destroying my sleep.
>>83429215I smoked for 35 years & stopped about nine years ago. No heart disease, blood pressure issues or cancer,. Lucky.
>>83429479That's good that you quit, anon. I hope you stay the course.>>83429509For 35 years?!? Brother, how old are you?
>>8342953558. Started as a young teen.
>>83429215Take NAC will repair your lungs.
>>83429556Damn, man. My dad is 62 years old. Crazy that there is someone your age on this website. How was life growing up as a teen in the 80s?
>>83429556My brother is a doctor, he told me a large amount of guys who drink and smoke to excess get away with it.
>>83429602It was a lot of fun. A lot of my friends were older than me so I absorbed a lot of 70's culture too. It was all pubs, clubs & smoking weed on the weekend. Jobs were easy to find but the pay wasn't that good. Impossible to save. I was into rock music & emerging synth pop at the same time.
>>83429602I had an awesome vinyl collection & then CD's came along. I thought the progression to CD's was going to be it. LOL it was just the beginning.
>>83429215I started smoking when I was 11, too. Mix of weed and cigs. I wasn't steady on them, older kids liked me so they'd give stuff. When I got a job at 20 I started smoking again after my coworkers started offering me some and I had money to spend and stress to burn away. Quitting would nice, mostly to save money. My health isn't a big concern to me.
>>83429648What do you miss the most about society from the 70s/80s/90s that is seemingly dead today? Also, do you think that the internet has done more harm than good? I was born in 2000, and I strongly believe that the internet has done far more bad than it has done good for our world.
>>83429215i'm thinking about buying chocolate flavored cigarettes.
>>83429683I'm a bit more progressive & open minded than most others my age. I actually like the internet. Downloading free shit. YouTube. Netflix. Forums... LOL. But the best thing about the eighties was getting out & hooking up with other girls in the neighbourhood. Because there was no internet, we were in & out of each others houses constantly. We were horny fuckers, I'll tell you. Playing spin the bottle. Going over to a girls place when her parents were out. It was a different time & we weren't so prudish.
>>83429683The woke activists are insane. Then again the right wing echo chambers are no better. Activists have far too much influence but that's the fault of people who allow themselves to be easily swayed. I don't blame social media itself.
>>83429724If you could re-live any experience you had from your teen years or your 20s what would it be?
>>83429780There was this girl who lived over the road & we always made fun of her because she was skinny. But she was blonde & actually quite pretty. She began to grow boobs & they bloomed one summer into these luscious mango sized lovelies. At my age though, they seemed more like rock melons. She jumped over the fence when I was in a friend's back yard & started wrestling with me. It was her way of coming on to me. Next day i joined her in her pool. I was getting handfuls of firm, newly formed boob & when her parents went to the club one night we got together in her bedroom. What a night. That whole summer was so awesome. But anyway, the way music sounded back then was amazing too. I wish I could relive all those 70's & 80's releases all over again. Led Zeppelin. Van Halen. The Cure. What a time.
>>83429846It would blow my mind if I was conversing with my uncle right now by exchanging words with whoever you are on 4Chan, lol. Out of sheer curiosity, did you grow up in Illinois?
>>83429215Models smoke you are just ugly
>>83430028For me, it is the Southern CutThe best fast-food cigarette
>>83429215Nicotine addiction is a skill issue, I've never gotten addicted to cigs and I've went on and off them a handful of times already.
>>83430028>Models smoke you are just uglyI mean, I'm not going to deny being ugly, but even then, I'm still glad that I quit.
>>83429215A truecel would never smoke. Smoking is a normie trait.
