Why do leftists seem to hate liberals more than they hate conservatives? I'm pretty apolitical, so I don't really have a side here, but it's something I've noticed a lot. Leftists or communists get really annoyed when they're called liberals, and sometimes it feels like they're more hostile toward liberals than toward conservatives. It's kind of strange. Meanwhile, conservatives and the far right seem to get along just fine when it comes to dunking on liberals and leftists.
>>83431130I consider myself a leftfag and I think its genuinely because they can't stand ideological impurity (by their standards) so they live in echo chambers
>>83431144>I think its genuinely because they can't stand ideological impurityYeah, I've seen them call even Bernie Sanders or AOC genocidal maniacs. It's so deranged. I don't think leftists have any real goals. They just seem to endlessly criticize everyone while doing nothing.
>>83431130It's something commonly called "leftist infighting".The history of left-wing movements is littered with liberal appeasement, basically selling out your power to get a cushy position in the opposition regime. In a broad sense it's a form of puritanism, which is very well and alive in right-wing circles too, it's just for different moral reasoning. When, how and with who to strike political alliance with is a vital skill for political power, but as far I've seen most internet-activism is about posturing, making the common adage "touch grass" crucial.
far left movements usually appeal to the richest and most privileged of cunts while centrist left movements are more about appealing to the lowest common denominator.
