Do you think the people from Hoarders mostly just go back to hoarding once the makeover is done with? On the show they don't really address the behaviors that lead to those conditions, they just clean the house and leave... but the owners of the homes still have the same habits so...

>they dont really address the behaviors
I've seen people on there who are in bumfuck Louisiana or some shit who grew up poor, inbred and got beat.
How the fuck is someone visiting your house for 3 days or however much time they get gonna fix decades of impoverishment?
I'm pretty sure my mom is a hoarder. She gets mad when I throw out melted tuperware and questions every little thing that gets thrown out and keeps all her shoes from the 80s. Her entire closet is nothing but boxes and boxes of shoes but she will still wear worn shoes to the store with her toes sticking through them.
It completely defies all logic and reason because there is none, it's pure hoarder disease and mental disease.

>pretty sure
With hoarding there is no "pretty sure." If your mom was a hoarder, you'd know. It'd be the main grievance in your life by a mile. You will have been arguing with her about her hoarding for the majority of your life.
If it's gotten to the point where you can't use the furniture or bathroom in your home, THEN you can say she's a hoarder. Otherwise, lmao.

My mom was a compulsive hoarder when I was growing up. One time in 2007 she had a full on suicidal meltdown and my uncle came down from Canada and helped us clear out the house and by 6 months later it looked like nothing even happened. She's still a hoarder now and it's worse than it was when I was a kid so. Probably most of them go down that route.
She also used to force feed me until I vomited and I grew up extremely morbidly obese but that's another thing to bitch about.
