Well, they are a basis of all our thinking.
All reasons stems from emotion. Emotion that this is right, good or otherwise that is disgusting and evil.
But I will be even more radical. Emotion is more pure and instinctual than thinking, therefore if is also more true. Our thinking is informed by our cognitive perception, why may be full of copes, rationalization and other fuss.
On the other hand we can't fool our emotions. They come from the body before we can realize them. Authentic and not mingled with they may be the true image of God we are supposed to be.

I the end life is simply not worth living if there is no joy, hope and love in it and that is simply it. Purely by reason, the world isa horrifying place that shouldn't exist. But thinking is fake and gay.

if they were important, then that would bring in to question what is the value of having emotions that makes them important? what are emotions doing that makes them important? is it because they point to a certain value or behaviour? is it because they inform you of how to act? is it because they give you "soul"? is it because they tell you right from wrong? and if they're not actually important, what dictates whether they are or not? why would they not be important? what is more important? why is that more important?
