Does not loving anybody make me a bad person? Throughout all my life I've always had my family say "I love you" to me and I'd say "I love you too" but it's nothing more than a custom. When I say the words I love you I don't feel anything or any love. I'm not egotistical, or self obsessed. For some reason, I just cant have that feeling nor can I feel romantic love. This makes me feel bad because God said to love everyone as he loves us. Am I a bad person? Is there something I'm doing wrong?
No not at all. Love is earned. If there's no respect there can't be any love. It's hard to find things to respect about someone these days. I have a base-line love for everyone, but even that is shaky now. If you can love yourself, and have love and appreciation for other things, not necessarily other beings, you're good man! Keep your head up!
You're probably not a bad person, you're most likely just neurodivergent and don't register emotions the same way or for the same reasons that most people do. Nothing to worry about.

>>83432637Honestly, it is probably not that you dont love your family, but rather you cannot fathom the alternative. If your family makes you happy to some extent, you likely do love them. If they die and you feel sadness, that is evidence of such love having existed at a point in time.
