Traveling seems very boring if you think about it >im going to travel thousands of miles away >stay at a hotel >then proceed to walk around and see stuff >takr pictures so I can show off to my friends >go back to airport >fly back home to my McMansion
>>83442513It's crazy the number of people who travel across the world just to go drinking at a bar every night like you could just go down the street or even the next city over for that kind of thing, but I get that the point is to be able to brag on Instagram about drinking in Rome vs drinking at the bar down the street.
>>83442513there's different ways to engage in traveling anonthe way you described it is a very common if not the most common one but you can engage with it in different waysLast year I spent a month and a half driving and camping through the empty parts of Europe. Tons of abandoned little villages, roads where no one ever comes by, lots of wildlife, cool little spots to explore, lots of silence and the ocasional odd ball characters you come across. It was nice camping by an abandoned lighthouse with literally no one and nothing for miles on end. Just silence, some sausages and eggs and the sun going down.
>>83442513No point in travel when you have video games.
>>83442513traveling is fun if you do it with friends cuz it lets you hang out in locations different from normal and eat different food. I would never fly somewhere for vacation alone.
Travel is only fun if there's some kind of purpose. I went to the city to buy stuff and ended up finding a cool craft beer/live music type place. Good food down here too.
