There's so much fucking isekai slop out there that it gave me an idea while I was looking over stuff to watch: An isekai with a bunch of terminally online people but none of them know who they are in the new world they're reborn in and it's not just blatant wish fulfillment. They all have special powers/are uniquely high in potential but they each of them and their character flaws sees them becoming either tyrants, shutins(again) or snapping whilst they try to be a hero. The fujo girl would also realize her boylove stuff isn't what it's like her in yaoi doujins and be greatly disappointed that the romance she tried to voyeuristically induce in two guys turned out horribly.

I never watched SAO either but from what I've seen about it, it didn't really have the proper terminally online stereotypes as characters, just some sort of brushed over and more pleasant equivalents. Also, I know. I've known far too many fujos over the years. HxH had an anime in the 1990s though, just like Berserk did. I hope at least that Togashi will draw out how he wanted the story to go in case he does pass on and someone else needs to take the mantle to finish it -- or if no one does, so that fans can see what was intended and make their own fanfic of it.

To be fair normal people would feel a sense of unease at the more realistic equivalents. Also I don't think fujos are that common, just more common in outcast circles online. Thus why I run into them a lot. They also seem to be way more easy to talk to than other girls tend to be. The HxH anime is newer also, there's two versions, kind of like Full Metal Alchemist. The 90s one is very different and I think went its own way a bit from the manga, like the original FMA, but the 2011 anime follows the manga a lot better(except for Kite not being in the beginning of the series). Also I wouldn't be so sure on a plan, he seems to just wing it with a lot of the direction of HxH B^^^^).

I know for both HxH and FMA it was because they weren't done with the manga and how much they had finished wasn't enough for a full anime series but the manga were already popular. If I had to guess there was probably a boom in 90s Japan for anime business and they were just that hungry for new series to fund and publish. Togashi did make the successful Yu Yu Hakusho before HxH so it'd make sense that they'd be eager to produce his newer work.

Optimism is good though! That said a coomer in an isekai... The more I think on it, the more they would likely get into trouble. Especially if the possibility of magic to actually induce lust exists. They'd probably either piss off some powerful person or become so depraved and be a sticky, stinky stain on the history of that world.
