The only reason why anyone should go to college in 2026 is to become a doctor or a lawyer. Professions that stay with you for the rest of your life if you decide to become either of those and earn a real fucking good salary. Anything else is practically a waste of debt and student finances.

Arguably, the only other reason is that it's easiest to be in proximity with women your age and thus you're more likely to get laid and have relationships by chance rather than having to make it happen because your logistics get fucked if you decide to do anything else. But that's a separate argument as to whether it's worth the debt, student loans etc, and falling for the college meme in other areas.

You do NOT need college to go into finance. I did a traineeship at an investment firm when I was 19 and my school grades sucked, hell I didn't even have the right amount of A-Levels for uni (not that I was really intending to go because I had no idea what the fuck to do). Seven years later, I'm earning nearly 60k usd per annum, always lived on my own and I'm fucking thankful I never went to uni, aside from not having "the uni life" in terms of getting laid and why I haven't had a relationship at 27 for those reasons. But I'm working on that.
