What is it like having a high IQ? How do you perceive the world, current social/political issues, and people in general?

>How do you perceive the world
Shit. Studies show that pessimism tends to result in a far more accurate view of things, optimism is basically self-delusion, and it's difficult to achieve in the face of awareness of facts.

>current social/political issues
I choose not to give a single fuck about either, and I'm significantly happier that way. Participating in modern politics is more like pissing in an ocean of piss than posting on 4chan ever was. It's all manufactured to pit people against each other anyway, in order to keep them divided and occupied. The new bread and circuses. Why bother with it? There's nothing to be gained from any of it other than pointless arguments over things that don't matter.

>people in general?
I have a dim view of the idea of sentience and free will. We are all just products of our environments and circumstances. I think that given the exact same upbringing and similar genetics, most people will make the exact same choices as one another in response to the same stimulus. We're all just meat-robots carrying out our programming, telling ourselves we're the only ones that aren't NPC's.

I wish I was high iq so bad.

There's almost no advantage nowadays. As a matter of fact, it's far better to pretend to be stupid, especially with the way the culture wars fucked everyone's brains up.

>How do you perceive the world,
It's a pile of secrets I must uncover.
>current social/political issues,
They have been the same since the dawn of time.
>and people in general?
People are deep and complex. People forget this and often think like this comic: https://xkcd.com/610/

What you think are random events, are all planned. The idea is to manipulate you. Instead of focusing on yourself and your life. And it's been largely effective as the NPC meme illustrates.

was going to write some stuff but nah, halfway through it I realized that i'm not intelligent, just a pessimistic self-defeatist retard, intelligence is no valuable in the grand scheme of things, biologically it ensures reproduction in the short term but overtime intelligence becomes a self destructive trait. existentially, it brings worlds of pain
>>
I don't have the misanthropy intelligent people tend to develop. It is a very isolating experience though. You kind of realize that there's some things some people will simply never be able to understand. I try to not let it go to my head that I'm intelligent, in fact I don't feel intelligent but everyone treats me (and tells me) like I'm a genius.

I do feel frustrated sometimes when people just can't seem to understand things that seem so evident to me. I try to explain it to them but I can just tell that the words don't enter the brain. At some point I realized that the majority of people don't have the attention span to pay attention to something for more than 15 seconds. In my opinion, the real differences between intelligence and lack of intelligence are a combination of lacking curiosity, a lack of attention span and a lack of effort.

Anyway, I don't have anything against unintelligent people. It's not like I did anything to be intelligent, I just am. The only thing I have issues with is how often they rush to conclusions and act like they can't be wrong, but that's less an intelligence thing and more an attitude thing.

The concept of IQ is kinda retarded kek plenty of retards think they're geniuses
>>
>>83462199
I'm a worthless socially inept human being who happens to have good pattern recognition
would not recommend
>>
Based on what I'm seeing ITT it seems like having a high IQ makes people think you're a delusional schizo since you perceive things others don't like the actual fucking schizos ITT.
>>
I have to have my brain stimulated at all times by high micro things like managing a business or making art. I do 3D art.
When I was in my teens I grew weed, when I was younger I went door to door mowing lawns and waxing peoples boats and shit to make money.
For me high IQ has been more about controlling emotions and decision making than actual accolades. Being successful comes at a cost that has nothing to do with balance.
>>
>>83462199
Having great social skills and an average IQ is a million times more useful than having shit social skills and 140 IQ. The only time IQ will trump it is if it's so high that you can easily apply your intelligence to a niche STEM field and become an expert.

I don't exactly have a high iq, I think it's somewhere from the 115-130 range, could be higher but I don't remember as I was tested when I was super young due to autism and my parents don't want me to know the exact number as they think I'll use it as a crutch to not do any work or anything like that.

>How do you perceive the world
pretty bleakly, like some other anon said it's very hard to be optimistic with a high iq as optimism is usually some form of delusion/not understanding stuff. It's really hard for me to have a positive outlook on stuff as I'm watching my future being ripped away by billionaires, big corporations and other shit. If i was dumber i'd be able to be blissfully unaware

>current social/political issues
Modern politics is a waste of time, our votes/choices don't matter as there is a bigger plan behind everything that most of these people are in on. It's all a bunch of bullshit to keep us occupied and thinking we are making a difference

>people in general?
I struggle to have a good outlook on most of the populace due to my own experiences. A lot of people are just pre-programmed NPC's. They don't like it when you question the norms and think for yourself. I used to be in a group where I could not have any intelligent discussion with them as they would all freak out, throw insults, and just be annoying. I could be saying something so basic as "we should treat all people the same since we are all people" and they will freak out and call me a racist. There was a girl in that group that thought she was the super genius psycho analyzer that would just repeat shit she heard on tiktok and make up full on fake bullshit. This all has made me group people into 2 groups, NPC's and people that actually think for themselves.

very relatable. im kinda in the middle ground where I'm more intelligent then most people but not intelligent enough to hang out the the smart people,

it's very isolating knowing I can't really fit in with either groups as the idiots wont understand me and I'll struggle with understanding the smart people and be left behined.

I wish I was retarded and happy
>>

I was tested in person at somewhere between 130-140.

>perceive the world
This kind of seems like more a personality question than an IQ question. That said I have a pretty stereotypical autistic savant character, I tend to see things in a rather rigid, logical fashion and come off as insensitive all the time unintentionally.

>current social/political issues
In a democratic system with universal suffrage the mass media (itself an arm of the state) pretty much completely controls the political narrative so most of it isn't really worth caring about. The overton window will never shift towards any kind of meaningful change. Yet I still care anyway because this shit does unfortunately impact me.

>people
Depends. I can talk to people online over text but trying to talk to someone face to face feels like an exercise in futility. Like another anon said earlier it feels like people simply cannot understand what you are saying no matter how simply you lay it out.

As a result I just sort of started basically presenting myself as an opinionless automaton in meatspace; I hide all of my hobbies, beliefs and political opinions from others because it saves time over trying to explain whatever convoluted thought process got me to whatever outlook I hold.

>>83462276
There really aren't many benefits to it. Society is designed for the median, not the outliers.
>>
>>83462199
Anon, coming here to ask what the world is like for smart people is about as stupid an idea as you can get. May as well ask the schizophrenics how the world works at that point. The amount of narcissists here is frankly astounding. Good luck though.
>>
>>83462897
not OP but it isn't exactly that stupid, it's always nice (i guess) to learn how other people experience the world
>>
>>83462199
I don't perceive the word, I stick to my games, books, vibrators, dildos, other sex toys, my sybian

I am so detached from the world
