Middle eastern countries have closer-knit social structure so they take care of poor family members whereas the US is individualistic. Also making any choice that would lead up to this situation (unwed sex, being an alcoholic, being a NEET etc) is mega haram or whatevs so people are less likely to do it for fear of losing family support or getting killed. I don't feel sorry for this miss piggie tho...pay the toll etc etc
