I'm so sick of being told nostalgia is irrational and deceptive when the recent past was so clearly objectively better in almost every measurable way.
Be the change you want to see in the world. Remain in 2006.
It's just cope by people try try their hardest to justify the present.
>>83470251>Remain in 2006you mean 1998? the entire 21st century has been asst. 80s fag

>>83471539I love stuff like this, that for all of human history people thought their childhood was the best and that everything sucks nowadays
>>83470158It's usually ambiguous. The internet, at least, was definitely better during the 2000s
>>83471561The 2000s internet is still archived in all its Web 1.0 glory. You're the one who chooses to eat shit.
Yeah, just look at those photos. So much joy, delight, happiness, love everywhere! No war crimes, no young Stacy pussy, no sabotaging!By the way each to their own.

Hard Disk Drives are the singular most reliable devices to store data. And you partially did well but the most important stuff is probably backed up Somewhere.
>>83470251If only it were so easy. Unfortunately, the only thing stopping you from literally simulating the past is other people. You may buy an iPod nano and fill it with music from 2006, but all the bands that wrote that music are all broken up or washed up and you be able to see them live again. You will likely never be paid enough to live as luxuriously as you did in the past or have as much free time as you used to even as you climb in your career. People will still be as politically extreme and insane as they are now, and tech companies are going to keep building draconian up to panopticons no matter what. There's no going back and the dystopia will continue on no matter how rosy your glasses lenses get.
