I apologize for the newfriend question, but how come everything I post on here seems to be unique enough to not get me muted? Sometimes I really expect to get muted, but somehow nobody ever used that sentence before, even though it's super common. That's weird.

Not only is the filter reset every so often so as to not make this board unusable, a lot of things simply need a single word or even exclamation point changed in order to get past the filter, that's not to mention green text aka quoting counts as unique test so you can quote someone and add only a single word or dot to get past the filter.
It's better this way, people used to put a bunch of random nonsense under their post in order to get past the filter in times long gone, or maybe that was a better system since it'd filter those who didn't adapt to board culture, who knows.

That explains it pretty well, thank you, anon.

I can see how that would be more annoying when trying to make conversation in the replies and having to rephrase things a bunch of times.
