mom and sister got me an air purifier for christmas is there any point to using it, online it says it's just to clean dust and stuff

depends on how often you vacuum really, when you walk around on carpet it kicks up a ton of dead skin and hair and whatever else that the purifier will grab in the filter. helps with the smell but only so much.
