>buy a big pack of cheap carpet tiles from Amazon
>they're thin so you can easily cut them with scissors to whatever size and shape you need
>they have adhesive but I just use masking tape so I can remove them later if I want
>don't put them on the floor though
>cover my desktop
>cover the top of my filing cabinet
>cover all the shelves
>even cover the countertop in the kitchen
>cover the top of the fridge
>eventually cover bottom of all the drawers
>cover the inside of the cabinets
>just clean everything with a vacuum now
