some of the more outgoing lads and lasses took 'cowies' at parties or sneaking into clubs underage. supposedly ecstasy but mixed with god-knows-what back in the 2000s.

seems like a golden age for youngsters today, if they want pure MDMA or to give LSD a try.

Depends on the location, school, social circle and even individual. Drinking is the most common. Then stuff like weed. Poorer areas obviously have more people using, but rich schools can have their problems too, sometimes just as bad because rich kids can have certain complexes.
