I feel so retarded. I've been trying to understand the rules of baseball for like past 20 minutes. Watched 2 guides, looked up some images, watched people play. (It was not a pro game, tho) I still have trouble with comprehending the teammate placement and the outfiender's role. The sport interests me, but my non-burger brain can't quite get it. I'll keep trying to learn.
>>83483482the US unironically managed to catch Nazi spies because they were so good at emulating American accents but didn't know shit about baseball so don't feel so bad
>>83483482The average American doesn't understand it either, at least not in-depth.
>>83484680unironically because they don't listen to it on radiothat sport is designed for radio or getting drunk at the stadium and not television
>>83484644I need nazi US accent tutorial
>>83484784>be Germanic or Commonwealth>can imitate Americans but they can't imitate youI'm jealous of those cheaters. I didn't even know Christian Bale was British when I watched American Psycho when it came out. But this thread is about baseball and I'd recommend just playing a video game about it. It's easier to learn when you're playing it and making decisions.
>>83483482>teammate placementBatter/runner is "out" if opposing team touches him with the ball. If the ball is caught and taken to a base before the runner can get there, it is assumed he will be "out" when he gets there, so he is automatically out. Placing team members next to the bases to catch the ball immediately, meaning they can take one step to the base, makes this quick.>outfielder's roleIf the ball is hit way the hell out there, the outfielders pick it up and throw it to the basemen, where the above process can occur. If batter reaches the base before the ball does, he gets to stay there until the next batter hits the ball, and move forward.
