People say vacations are supposed to be relaxing, but whenever I would go on vacation with my family as a kid it was always the most stressful week of the summer. >Spend the weeks leading up to it packing rigorously >Wake up early and spend hours in the car>Arrive wherever we're staying >Wake up early every day to do whatever we have planned (my parents didn't believe in taking breaks)>Whatever we have planned almost always involves standing outside in the hot sun>Spend several hours doing that, completely miserable>Go back to hotel/rental house/condo>Not allowed to watch TV or have any alone time, "vacations are for spending time with family">Siblings act like dicks and get my parents in a bad mood, things get worse>Always go to some weird restaurant for dinner where the food is mediocre at best>A few days in, we have to pack everything back up>Arrive at home, unpacking is even worse than packing. Will be screamed at if seen sitting down instead of carrying a bagIs this a universal experience or is it just my family? And if it's universal, why do normies pretend to enjoy this?
