would you be happy with a boring gf if she was nice and genuinely liked listening to ur interests but just didnt have much to say back? i dont mean would u settle i mean would you REALLY be happy or would u wish u had something better

I wouldn't do it because it's not fulfilling, had a girl friend like this that I kinda liked, not super in love but I did think she was pretty, yet most interactions with her were just me talking and she listening, which wasn't even that bad but I feel that in the long term it wouldn't work. To me an relationship is built around balance and things like this could end up with an unsatisfactory relationship, in other words, unhappiness

You understand. It also makes you feel crazy and like you are the only one ever starting problems if they are just a vague yesman that lets life happen around them. I like having a bf that actually comes up with his own ideas and doesn't just say "idk" or agrees with me blindly. It feels too lonely

Are you serious? Is this supposed to be a dealbreaker? Who is gonna look at that and act like it's not nearly good enough? OBVIOUSLY YES OP I WOULD TAKE THAT

Unironically yes, I got to experience this, this year. I got bored out of my mind with her and went back to a more fun exciting but abusive woman, and I regret it.

I'll take the boring nice girl over the girl who makes me feel alive, if it means long term happiness

poor girl, at least you learnt your lesson

We are still friends and she's still in love with me.

I think I might genuinely be a sociopath at this point because I didn't really care, I told her I was unhappy and nothing changed, so it wasn't like I blindsided her

I would much rather have a girl who's sweet and "boring" than a woman who's exciting but high maintenance or crazy. Even more so if she's sweet and submissive in the bedroom too. If I want intellectual stimulation I'll read a book.

I would still encourage her to seek out her own interests rather than dumping mine on her though.
