This anime is actually based it's a LOT better than that of sweat and soap manga where the guy was a creepy smell pervert. This guy genuinely just treats her like a normal woman. He doesn't even have a fat fetish they went from friends to lovers and it took a while for it to click for him. Her fatness is sometimes a gag in that she loves to eat but the main thing is that a fucking brain injury gave her a huge personality shift and she lost her memory. She went from sad and withdrawn to spunky and confident. It's also a murder mystery and a drama with a really really interesting twist. The manga is still ongoing I am really curious what it will end as

It's not "I need to see myself on the screen," I just find vulnerability fantasies as compelling as power fantasies. For me a game isn't fun if I plug in an Action Replay and make myself into Invincible Isekai Aurafarming Badass Who The World Bends Backwards For. But it IS pretty fun to wallop somebody that strong while having a hundredth of his HP bar and damage output. Think of Alien. Wouldn't work if the MC was Rambo.
