An interesting behavior of /r9k/ I've noticed is that when someone posts in a way that makes them sound even vaguely female, someone else will preemptively call them a troon. I believe this is due to a fear of getting invested in potentially talking to a woman online and not wanting to seem like a "simp" because of it.
