Share games that are nostalgic to you. Bonus points if it's a computer gameFor me, Cave Story brings back so many memories
>>83495186Tyrian. Loved this one. Played it so much as a kid. Still love it. My favorite shmup. Neat art that held up too.
The peak of the Gameboy era.
>>83495206I have this but still haven't played it. I prefer 2D Zelda games over 3D but I also have a short attention span which makes me reluctant to start a file.
>>83495206For me, it was the Oracle games for GBC.
the text rpg i used to play as a teen. i wanna do it again
still play it often
>>83495186monster dash
>>83495186For me it's Pokemon BlueWhile technically not a computer game, I played it on PC because my uncle gave it to me on a floppy disk before I owned a Game BoyPeak memories include>Not being able to figure out how to leave my house for the first few minutes>Making it through Rock Tunnel blind because I never found the Flash HM>Getting hopelessly lost in Seafoam Islands and tearfully closing down the game without saving, thinking that my save would be wiped because I misunderstood how saving worked>Almost beating my rival on the champion fight using only my overlevelled Blastoise but running out of PP and struggling myself to death
>>83495186I played Alley Cat as 5 year old, and that weird dreamy vibe has been with me ever since
>>83495409>>Making it through Rock Tunnel blind because I never found the Flash HMI still do this but I play it on a Super Gameboy on the SNES so it's easy to see the walls.
>>83495186Damn OP I'm doing my first playthrough of cave story, although Niggalis and pirated cave story instead of the og, I'm taking my sweet time and the gameloop is fun, might become a favorite of mine, and about computer games that make me nostalgic sadly I don't have any as I live in a limbo of mostly the present, not many games make me nostalgic let alone computer games, so yeah there's that, but classic spelunky is kind of an exception I guess
>>83495186Wiz 'n' Liz. I played it with my whole family. We even still have a notebook where we documented all the recipes, with pictures of the fruits and vegetables drawn by my mom or my sister. The music is beautiful and evokes a sense of nostalgiahttps://youtu.be/boHlmf1G9yI
>>83495603Not only is the game great but some areas of the game hit them feels.Enjoy the game, Anon
>>83495199My cousin and I used to play this shit in co-op. Took me forever to find it decades later.
The game of depression
>>83496188You mean the cu-ckokd gaylord simulator? I bet you and your cousin loved it you gay cu-ck.
I still play zoo tycoon complete collection. I think it was one of the best tycoon games. I never got into rollercoaster tycoon. I also really liked big biz tycoon where you could design offices and run a business
>>83497312Also do you guys remember Avatar High Also used to really like Millsberry and VMK and Toontown
>>83495186Cave story was comfy I used to play that on my tiny netbook during hs classes along with that catplanet game or vvvvvv
>>83495186>Nostalgia.That would be late 90s/early 00s RTS games, with Starcraft at the top.I really enjoyed single player campaigns in that game and others because I had a casual approach to it; I would explore the whole map, develop my camp as much as possible, immerse myself in the plot, wipe out every enemy unit and I would waste hours on each map like that. Now, RTS games are geared towards the twitch-out, APM multiplayer experience and I feel left out; you can imagine my disappointment when Starcraft 2 came out, with every map feeling like an arena or a timed-out race, the poor retcons and holes in the plot, making your campaign choices a tech tree pick-a-flavor with no impact on the plot, etc.
>>83497321>>83497321:o anon i never see anybody talk about those three (excluding toontown) ever. i loved the-n, millsberry, and vmk. i always wanted to play the sims online from the little ad that came in the first sims cd rom
I used to go to my friend's house to play the 360 version in the early 2010s.
>>83495186Legacy of goku 2 for gba. Great soundtrack https://youtu.be/u7WxSKIB0kg?si=m3x3jPHC3tmQdy0r
>>83497312I loved Zoo Tycoon but I never made it far into the scenarios because I would waste my time reading the info on each animal and the plants you could put in their pens. I couldn't only play for an hour when I was a kid and I would waste it like that often.
>>83497458>i always wanted to play the sims online from the little ad that came in the first sims cd rommy nigga
>>83497458Me either which surprises me, kid's websites and their browser games were huge back then>sims onlineNever even heard of this but would've loved it
Fucking love this game. Best $1.99 I've spent
>>83497548I was bad at the scenarios myself I'd just cheat like crazy, get unicorns and infinite money
>>83497312>>83497548*could.Also, you should give RCT a try. Maybe take a look at the /vr/ thread and see what the game is about. Building up a park and letting it fall apart with poorly designed rides was what made it fun for me back then.
>>83497553real recognizes real>>83497555right? the amount of neopets clones like powerpets alone is kind of insane. there were a ton of rp dress up sites like gosupermodel and missbimbo toothe sims online was a sims mmo chat thing that existed before ts2 came out and crashed and burned for pretty much the same reason they all did (people kept cybering). i always wondered why there were so many mommydom abdl ones specifically in the kids ones. habbo hotel was the worst ofc. kind of hilarious that nobody discusses that or gaia anymore when their conflicts with 4chan are so central to the early history
did you guys ever go on worlds? /x/ used to love that place. i remember going on there years ago once the normies had found out about it and some streamer was doing a guided tour. followed them around for hours saying nothing in the most unsettling generic free avatar i could find popping in and out of sight lol
>>83497558that font makes it look like a crusader kings tie-in lol. was it a paradox game?
>>83495186the ui still feels like homeOOOoooOOOo
>>83497580Firefly studios. I looked it up. You had me excited for a moment thinking that I had another trilogy to play. This one is a castle builder/strategy game
>>83495342NTA, but you shouldplay Minish Cap if you can. It's not that long and the game mechanics will get you hooked, especially pairing up Kinstones.
>>83497746Not that anon but thanks for the rec I love 2d zelda games too. Spirit tracks was so fuckin fun
Undeniably kino and epic is retarded for cheating on me with fortnite
>>83497858This.Several years later I found out that the team/leader you fight in the finals is the one you had the worst performance against, so I always ended up fighting against Xan and never against ClanLord or Malcolm. Also, AS-Mothership is pure kino.
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone on PS1The single most nostalgic game of all time for meEven my mum is nostalgic about it because she'd play it with me when I was 6-7I bought a used PS2 on ebay a few years ago and a copy of the game to replay it, activated so many deep memories, damnThat Jeremy Soule music is still absolutely god-tier, tooTo me it's just as iconic and memorable as the music from the original movies, just beautifulFLIPENDO!!!
>>83498038The harry potter games were so fucking good for me it was the lego ones. Yours looks so comfy I somehow missed playing it. Did you play hogwarts legacy?
>>83498241I played Hogwarts for the first time recently and it looks and plays exactly like I WISH the PS1 and 2 games were like. If I could show HL to my younger self I'd probably pass out from sheer excitement.
>>83498266I felt the same exact way aside from a known glitch with some of the moth discovery locations (has since been patched dw) I 100% it
>>83495199>>83495186Coincidentally played both of these on my PSP first.
