I used to like to go in the waybackmachine and look through eight-chan before it got shut down. Not talking about any of the thousand copy cats, the original one. There were stories on there that I enjoyed going back to for nostalgia, there were also stories there that made me uncomfortable but would make me think, and sometimes I would try to find my own posts that I created a decade ago. There were certain characters on that site that ive felt that I was personally drawn to and to this day I still wonder how they are doing. I felt like an archaeologist studying a time capsule. Last time Ive did this was in 2022.Recently I just found out that waybackmachine has blacklisted the URL, its no longer accessible. Its a bittersweet feeling when I found that out, on one hand its gone forever and i am never going to see it again, and on the other its like all that hate and vitriol has been erased for good like it has never existed. And in a way, that brings me closure.
>>83498924Weird how old eight chan and things like it are considered forbidden knowledge.
>>83499231I still have to remind myself that people who are 20 years old now were 13 years old when it got taken down, it puts things into perspective that I am getting old. For a long time, I was so used to being the youngest person in online discussions.
