The deepest parts of the ocean are known as abyssal plains. Spanning thousands of miles and only ever changing in elevation by a foot at most, they are the flattest places on earth. If you were to stand in the middle of one you would most likely be the tallest object for hundreds of miles on end.Imagine being stuck there. Miles underwater. Unable to see because the light cannot reach you. Trawling the earth with the weight of ocean bearing down on you, nothing to hold onto or grasp but the ground beneath you. Nobody to save you, nothing to hear either. It's dead silent down there. All alone.
