I dont really care about the personality of politicians, what they do in their private life, whether or not their personal motivations are "selfish", or whether they are good or bad. A person can be a total piece of shit, but if they have policies that benefit me and the people i know, i will support them

not sure whether or not thats problematic, i guess so to some people?

I think that that is the right approach unless the politician mix their private life with public life. Anyway, yes, it's better to be that way I think, unless the politician do some really bad things. I wouldn't like to vote on good politician that, however, endorse nazism publicly
