guys i don't know how to hold a conversation
what the hell am i supposed to say?
i don't know what to say.
there's subreddits where people post their stats and that they're looking for someone to talk to and then people message them, but if i did that i wouldn't know what to say.

stop apologizing for seeing through bullshit.

You know you gotta get some things done. A small talk about how cold it is isn't going to get your dreams accomplished.

You'll talk when you actually care to talk to the other person in front of you.

you that thing that other kids did for 12-13 years of school, you know, the thing you neglegted to do because you were too busy playing video games for 16 hours straight and gooning? That thing?
Shoulda done that thing.

you mostly ask people about their interests and then share about your own if they're related to something the other person said. Sometimes you can also bring up basic, neutral topics like the weather, but that usually leads to boring conversations. It's helpful if you're doing some kind of shared activity that you can then ask, complain, or explain about the specifics of.

It is also important to try and balance the amount you are talking with the amount the other person is talking. If you find they are talking too much, it's good to try and give small words of acknowledgement when they pause, and try to think of a couple of comments on what they've said, or related side tangents, so that when they stop talking, you can jump in and say your thing. Alternatively, if you're doing most of the talking or are genuinely interested in what they're saying, you can try to ask questions about their feelings or knowledge on the topic being spoken about
