Why do people act offended when I tell them I eat raw meat? Like they act like Im telling them Im a domestic abuser or something

Beef? Pretty cool, I like mine a little bit cooked but still plenty red, but if I'm having a barbeque and you ask for your steak raw, I won't stop you from eating it raw. Pork, chicken, and that kind of stuff? Not really offended but more concerned for you, however if you've been eating raw pork/chicken/whatever that it's mostly agreed on should never be eaten raw and you're somehow not dying, I'd be curious to see what kinds of special enzymes your body is producing to be able to do that because then I could go back to working in biotech and stop smoking speed and rambling to internet strangers all day using big biology words to make them think I'm a doctor.
