So up until this morning, I had stable diffusion working great, locally, and had for a long time. Then I decided "hm, lets see if there's an update for ReForge and rocm..." And then everything blows up with an OOM error whenever I tick the box to upscale things. I used to be able to do a 2.25x upscale and now it dies anywhere over 1.5x. So I spent all morning re-cloning reforge and re-generating the python venv with different parameters trying to get back to where I was. Nothing worked and the best I managed to do was to go back to OG A1111 which still dies at 2.25x but at least (usually) works at 2x.

Moral: never, ever touch a running system. I hate computers, I hate python, and oh yeah btw I hate cloudflare for this new fag captcha.

It was actually years before in early 2018, I got ashamed of myself for drinking like 35-40 standard drinks a week for the past 16 months so dropped it to 20-30. Then I got a job a bit later and dropped it to 10-15 (on my one day off) and realized that was stupid too so kicked that shit by the end of 2019. Almost relapsed in 2020 but never did thankfully. I just structure my life now so I can't slip there anymore. I still drink like 10 drinks a week but it's over two nights. Might go a little more tonight since it's New Years but eh

I'm basically confined to only being able to drink on my one night off from work every week (working night shift and sleeping after work - can't drink during the day before work because I have to drive). Had it not been for that it could quickly develop into a problem for me too, I think.

But at least I was able to quit smoking around April or March or so.

I'm kind of glad I had the opposite luck with how I do my Kana gens now since she looks pretty much exactly how I've always pictured her in my head instead of DALL-E3 which made her boobs too big or Pixai or Nemusona which didn't get her hair right (although Pixai is my fault since I fed it Kana commissions and artists often don't get her hair as I imagine it). The drawback is the backgrounds aren't as creative as DALL-E3, especially not the 2023 version when I could generate 1:1 replicas of actual places before they nerfed it. It meant a lot to me when I could get Kana hanging out at the lake I've gone every summer literally my entire life.
