A zombie apocalypse would be so terrifying in real life. Shit used to scare the shit out of me as a kid.
>>
>>83651073
i used to daydream about apocalyptic scenarios as a child and i still do
>>
i basically have to imagine a zombie apocalypse to imagine a scenario where a living human female chooses to spend time with me because i'm a slightly better alternative to the zombies. it's one of the main ways i fantasize about having a gf
>>
For me, the most terrifying part is losing your loved ones in horrific fashion. I am fast and strong, my sisters arent. If they died and I failed to protect them, I dont think id be able to continue on living.
>>
i have a zombie apoc or alien invasion dream once a week. sometimes I get dreams that feel like I'm in Cloverfield and im just running through a city dealing with various happenings like looters and stray bullets and random things.
I also get dreams that start as zombie apoc but then turn into alien invasion, I dunno it's weird how the mind does dreams, they can blend seamlessly.

I also get dreams where the threat is random criminals, lots of getting shot dreams, those are usually nightmares and I usually wake up when I get shot.
>>
What a fag. If a zombie apocalypse happens I'm gonna kill so many fucking zombies while blasting 115 or Painkiller on repeat
>>
>>83651073
I'd be more worried that all of the food and water could be contaminated and that the disease could also be airborne or spread by bugs/vermin.
>>
>>83651079
Same. I used to go pretty deep on those fantasies when I was younger. Now it's more of a passing thought from time to time. I agree with OP that it probably would be scary irl, but probably exciting in some way too.
>>
>>83651162
Yeah, left 4 dead was the scariest to me for that reason. It felt the realest.
>>
>>83651073
In real life it wouldn't be people rising from the dead and could be easily controlled. Sucks for the initial wave of infection but I assume a quarantine could solve it since it would just people acting like rapid dogs
>>
Its only scary if the zombies can run and/or the infection spreads through air otherwise it's a joke lmao

Would suck. Not because I am not prepared. Friend showed me the joys of the second amendment, bugout bags, and took me to the range before he left and joined the military. The part that would suck is the eventually that I wouldn't be able to charge my psp and that would ROYALLY SUCK BALLS. I expect some shit like a black out to happen leading to me not being able to use my PlayStation 2,3,4, and 5 or PC.
If it's shit like Romero, planet terror, or dead rising zombies I'm in paradise. If it's shit like return of the living dead zombies, FUCK!
If it's like the 28 series I think 50 50 on whether our world can actually pull its shit together but I think I could hold out at least for a few years.
>>
>>83651073
we'll make great pets
>>

You can get a chargeable battery. Like a powerbank that you can charge, through a winch or solar or other means. Look into it.
That could keep your PSP going for years longer until some mechanical failure. But the PSP is pretty popular, and wouldn't be too hard to find a new one. Could be like a side quest.

Currently my dumb ass doesn't have a solar brick. I got chickpeas and popcorn kennels(probably not the best to have in a zombie apocalypse cause of the noise but fuck it I like popcorn).
How long would the Internet infrastructure last during a zombie apocalypse?
>But the PSP is pretty popular, and wouldn't be too hard to find a new one. Could be like a side quest.
Side quest would be finding a psp repair man or some dude who knows how to upload stuff to or modify a psp or vita(I have one somewhere in my house). Another side quest would be to find a some chickens. Friend's gf used to have chickens and got free eggs. So a chicken would be a good source of eggs. Same with potatoes. Got some left over soil in my garage so I can farm some potatoes. Don't know shit about chickens myself.
>>
>>83651073
I'm more bothered by the idea of having no internet access vs the whole zombie thing desu. I'm fine with dying but I want technology before I do
>>
>>83651418
Farming potatoes is harder than you may think. Getting and taking care of chickens is what easier than you think. Literally just get some feed and throw some to them every day. Give them a little place to sleep. Boom, you got eggs. Just don't keep em where you eat or sleep, because it's unhygenic. If you can put them in a separate room, do so.
>>
>>83651434
So any tips on how I would provide water for the chickens and I?
>>
>>83651478
Where do you live? Not asking you to doxx yourself, but like what climate. Does it rain? Snow? Do you live near a forest? Lake?
>>
>>83651320
you have the mentality of a 10 year old from 2013
>my favorite thing ever? VIDEO GAMES
>what do i worry about the most? THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE
>i would totally survive, because my big brother showed me his shotgun before he joined the army to fight terrorists like in cod!
>freakin epic!!!!!!!!
>i would bring the psp he gave me!!!!
>>
>>83651073
Oh don't worry OP the apocalypse is well on it's way and it's going to be both shittier and more boring than zombies.

Boom, you are now 100% invincible to zombies, now you can molest all the zombie stacies at your leisure
>>
>>83651487
NTA, but lighten up a bit. Life is hard enough as it is, might as well let people goof around a bit.
>>
>>83651482
By the ocean. Asking cause if I have chickens I was thinking I would hunker down on some roof on a building(got a few abandoned/empty supermarkets by me). In retrospect probably best to just stick with my original idea of just driving upstate away from any new by cities and just raiding abandoned smaller stores if a zombie apocalypse ever happens.
>>
>>83651499
What if there are electric zombies?
>>
>>83651516
Writing the insulting post made me nostalgic for elementary school
>>
What about a zoombie apocalypse where all of the zombies are zoomers who endlessly repeat zoomer niggerspeak phrases
>>
>>83651541
is that all you think about all the time
youre probably not even 40 and youre already a crotchety old man
>>
>>83651521
Yeah, you don't wanna be too urban. At a reasonable distance from some community would be best, where you can mostly expect to be alone, but if you realize you badly need some supplies, you are able to get into a place that actually has some stores/buildings to pillage.
Most of us today are not well equipped to live on own completely self-sufficient, because society doesn't require that any longer. Accepting that as a starting point would go a long way. And the fact that there's a reason we always live in communities, rather than alone. If you step wrong and break your ankle while grabbing water from a stream alone, you might as well be dead. Not so much if you got a buddy or three that can help you back to safety and get you antibiotics.
>>
>>83651529
Put nonconductive fabric underneath it? Never heard of an electric zombie thoever, how the fuck does that even work?
>>
>>83651073
What mostly horrifies me about a zombie apocalypse or any other apocalypse is being forced to interact with people again.
>>
>zombie apocalypse would be so terrifying in real life.
yeah just imagine your country overrun by hordes of mindless, violent, drooling monsters that destroy everything and want to kill you, h-ha ha good thing its just fiction :^)
>>
>>83652428
I think the shows over blow how much you would have to work in a community. They don't know shit about actual long term wilderness survival. It's actually better to have 2 or 3 people instead of a big huge commune of 50.
You get more and more diminishing returns the more different types of people you add. You're just trying to survive, you're not trying to run a colony.
>>
I would run into a group of hot middle school girls (and have sexual intercourse with them)
>>
>>83651073
>terrifying
Imagine the zombie cunny brah
>>
>>83652445
>hehe i made the funny comment about ppl i dont like
Grow up, kid.
>>
>>83652459
>long term wilderness survival
Yeah, I'm not looking forward to living on the run from zombies in the wilderness.
>>
The Battle of Yonkers section of the World War Z book is great because the reasons that cause the rout, bringing in useless equipment, loading down soldiers with crap that serves no purpose and limits movement, not ensuring you even have enough ammo since you don't take the enemy seriously, using ordinance that's ineffective against zombie physiology but is flashy just so you can show it all off to the press, is something that you can realistically imagine happening especially with someone like Hegseth in charge now
>>
>>83652635
For me, it was always the witch from left 4 dead.
>>
>>83651095
>For me, the most terrifying part is losing your loved ones in horrific fashion.
That was the major fear for me too
>>
>>83651073
I think Project Zomboid is the most "realistic" way to experience how bad it would be for an actual person, as opposed to just having to click to kill zombies or deal with drama (like all movies would rather portray than the actual struggle to survive)
>>
>>83651073
If you don't think the zombie apocalypse is happening rn you are a zombie
>>
>>83654023
It started seven min ago step up, senpai.
>>
>>83654011
I got cabin fever irl from playing project zomboid when there was nothing to do and nobody to talk to. I started imagining there are other people in the game and doing things. People have this weird fantasy of surival being some ultimate hardcore test of your skills even though it really isn't. Surviving is easy. It's just doing some basic chores and that's it. The real challenge in it is not getting bored out of your mind and blowing your own brains out.
>>
>>83654023
>you are a zombie
Im vaccinated.
>>
>>83653698
Haha hell yeah brah she just needs a little loving
>>
>>83654276
>>83653698
just use the shotgun, are you 6 years old?
>>
It would be fun to learn to survive, decent trolling from that anon with his psp
