every once in a while I'd get the feeling the slenderman was in my room standing in front of me
then i'd have to close my eyes and not look forward becasue he was there and if I looked at him he'd kill me
I'd put my head under the covers and fall asleep and if i had to walk to the bathroom with my eyes closed
after an hour or so I would feel safe again and open my eyes

more than anything, aliens

I did stuff like this too. I asked my parents to hang a sheet in front of my bed. I told them it was for making forts but it was because I was afraid to look out from it.

What are we considering a kid in this thread? Anyways, I remember being around 12 years old and being afraid of the "don't hug me i'm scared" video. I remember laying in my bed with my covers over me thinking of this video.

Learning how oppressive authoritarian societies were to its members on an individual basis, whenever I saw chopping blocks or gallows in paintings/documentaries/etc. Made my blood run cold.

>I remember the part when the monster in part 5 disembowled green duck's intestines
I only ever recall watching the first original one.
>I stayed awake that night and had to sleep in my parents room
Lol, that reminds me of that one movie that was like a comedy movie that makes a parody of horror that was released when I was 12 years old. It was called "A Haunted House", and it was released in 2013. I remember watching in the theaters with some friends. I ended up being so spooked by it that I didn't get the best sleep after watching it. I was such a pussy.

i just remember when i was around 10 or 11 i first got into anime and for about a week straight in the summer holidays i watched the most dogshit anime all day everyday for around a week straight
on the last day i was trying to go to sleep and i started hearing anime girl voices saying the most insane shit and i literally couldnt get it to stop, after around an hour or so my brother came into my room for some reason and it snapped me out of it
still freaks me out to this day lol

When I was really young and still had fears: porcelain dolls and that Pumpkin Head movie scared the shit out of me. Freddy Krueger was pretty bad also, watching those movies alone at night was actually scary back then. Tales of the Crypt was comfy scary.

I was scared of everything I'm still a super anxious person.
dolls, other people, clowns, insects, spiders, adults, car accidents, house fires,...
>>
My parents used to watch America's Most Wanted right before my bedtime and I would be petrified of someone breaking in and killing me or raping me.
>monster's grabbing my feet if I didn't tuck the blanket under my feet
>shark or crocodiles eating me from the deep end of the pool
>dying in lava because an earthquake might happen
>stepping on a landmine
>getting stung by a poison fish and drowning to death paralyzed by poison
I had a sibling die and found their dead body so I had a lot of scary death dreams and fears and was always afraid of everything and been depressed since like 6
