Day 15 of watching a movie every day from a list of movies i compiled last year from /r9k/ /tv/ and tiktok.>list can be found herehttps://letterboxd.com/negamoth/list/2026-one-movie-a-day-list/>previous thread>>83667215Today's movie was Ready Player OneI had always avoided watching this movie because i wanted to read the book, but since it was recommended for the list i added it. It was a pretty straight forward movie, a little gay, but not bad. It's just average. I liked some of the cameos, like sonic showed up and the battle toads, the gundam, chun lee too. i was thinking when the movie started that there should be more existing IPs as avatars, but i guess they can't get the licensing for every IP. If the world was like ready player one and had a the whole world in virtual reality there would be way more furry avatars. One scene i really liked was near the end when they had an all out war and the main cast was driving through the city and all the people that were in the city outside were just mime fighting, that was funny as hell, just a bunch of people on the city street fighting something invisible, that was hilarious.I rate this movie 2.5 out of 5

How Steven Spielbergy was is?
>>83675582it wasn't his best work, i've only liked jaws. that's probably his magnum opus. this movie was a little gay, but it must just be the source material doesn't translate into a great movie, just a gay one.
