As a kid I burned my eye out with hot sauce once, felt bummed out I didn't get an eyepatch out of it. Would've made a killer demoman cosplay.
>>

how the fuck did you manage that, did you do it knowingly?

i mean, you still can. just buy one online

>how the fuck did you manage that, did you do it knowingly?
My memories blurred since I couldn't have been older than like middle school. I remember our family ordered Popeyes, and I took a spice packet and squished it with my hand. The sauce jetted into my eyes, and I had to rinse it out with water. I still remember the taste in my eye.
>i mean, you still can. just buy one online
Too broke + my family would think I'm insane, so pass. I do have a list of cosplays I wanna do when I get the chance tho, picrel. You got anyone you wanna cosplay?
>>
>>83676366
i wish i lived in a place like the uk (but not the uk) where it's cloudy and rainy all the time
>>
>>83676319
Isn't the whole point of cosplaying to make the costume yourself.
>>
>>83676372
ah, so you didnt intentionally pour chilli sauce into your eye. thank goodness.
also i meant for the cosplay, not just to where around like an oddball.
>picrel
>also has vision issues, according to the 5 things i saw, because ive never watched bleach
interesting. is there anyone with no eye issues you wanna cosplay? like, idk, garterbelt from PASWG would be cool, if youve watched that.
i have a long list of characters i wanna cosplay, like a loooooong list. itd take me a good 10 minutes. ill be doing super sonico later this year tho, gonna handmake it. ive only cosplayed a handful of times tho, and theyve been store bought, so theres a chance itll turn out awful
>>
>>83676375
nah. plenty people buy them, theres hundreds of stores. and not everyone has the skill to make them. you only make them if you're REALLY into cosplay or you participate in comps

There's still fun in that.
>interesting. is there anyone with no eye issues you wanna cosplay?
Off the top of my head no, but there are other characters that aren't just blind niggas I'd be interested in cosplaying.
>garterbelt from PASWG would be cool, if youve watched that
I like the design of stocking but don't care about the series beyond that. He gives me the same vibe as Russell from gorrilaz.
>super sonico
Like the hedgehog? Also making on your own seems 10x more fun, if I ever end up going through with the idea thats 100% what I'm doing. Demo and tosen are pretty simple save for 1 piece each.
>>
>>83676644
>He gives me the same vibe as Russell from gorrilaz.
eh, their entire personalities are completely different, their designs are completely different, i cant really see a similarity. beyond the fact that theyre big and black.
>Like the hedgehog?
nah, anime girl. shes a very popular nitroplus (visual novel company) mascot.
>Also making on your own seems 10x more fun
can be, sewing can be pretty awful to do. certain materials are best sewn by hand too, which gets exhausting. tho the feeling of accomplishment would surely make it all worth it
>Demo and tosen are pretty simple save for 1 piece each.
tosen would be really easy, i think demoman would be a bit more difficult. with the vest and all especially
>>
>>83676717
>i cant really see a similarity.
I just glanced at both of them desu
>nitroplus
I need to finish muramasa man it's been a year and I've only done one route
>feeling of accomplishment would surely make it all worth it
Yeah exactly
>tosen would be really easy
Braiding my hair and dying it purple would be a pain, also got no clue where to get his robes. Save for the vest demo seems easier actually.
>>
>>83676816
>I just glanced at both of them desu
that makes sense
>muramasa
did you lose interest? is it any good, in your opinion? idk shit about it, that type of vn doesn't interest me much.
>Braiding my hair and dying it purple would be a pain, also got no clue where to get his robes.
you get a wig lmao. a robe like that would be easy to find too, i swear. its just a white robe
>>
>>83676874
>did you lose interest?
I got off for a break right before some exposition, didn't get back on. Never got bored, just a bad habit of dropping things if I don't engage daily. I still think about it and listen to the soundtrack.
>is it any good, in your opinion?
I liked it a lot, very funny and the philosophy stuff definitely shaped my thinking a lot about myself. The fights are great too, the writing is so good for them that a scene at a complete stand still for 10 minutes is incredibly gripping.
>type of vn doesn't interest me much
It's a vn for niggas, women could not get muramasa. It'd be like me trying to read my lesbian experiences with loneliness or some shit
>you get a wig
Gay asl go big or go home, temp hair dye probably isn't that damaging anyway
>>
>>83676945
>just a bad habit of dropping things if I don't engage daily.
that is a horrible habit, wouldnt be a bad idea to try work on it.
>It's a vn for niggas, women could not get muramasa
wow, rude. im so offended i almost want to read it. but then again, samurai action shit just bores me to death. also, muramasas fanbase is like 50% women, you clearly haven't been on twitter.
that game won the poll for getting a fumo plushie and everything.
>It'd be like me trying to read my lesbian experiences with loneliness or some shit
i wouldnt understand that either considering the fact im not a lesbian
>Gay asl go big or go home, temp hair dye probably isn't that damaging anyway
the bleach (insert bleach anime joke) required to get your hair any other colour other than "dark" is gonna absolutely fry your poor hair to shit. temp dye is more damaging than youd think too
>>
finally got my package of the rest of the elfen lied manga. i really couldnt pass up on a good deal like that, those volumes are like, $50+aud each. $20 per volume, one still wrapped in its shrink wrapped, no signs of wear on the other 2? insane deal

I don't really use twitter, I only view select people I like on it thru xcancel. Anything from there gets reposted everywhere else anyway. None of that 50% gets it btw (it's true).
>i wouldnt understand that either considering the fact im not a lesbian
Still you get my point that a male would never understand a lesbian autobiographical manga
>the bleach (insert bleach anime joke)
Funny

yes anon, women very stupid and cannot understand very, VERY basic philosophical concepts in a hentai vn, so true.
>Still you get my point that a male would never understand a lesbian autobiographical manga
i mean, they probably could get some sense of understanding, at least some men. maybe of the homosexual type
>Nevermind dying then
just go for the wig man, it isnt gay to cosplay

I had it downloaded years ago n skimmed thru it, definitely would not get it. Also beyond being homosexual itself theres hardly any common ground between the two.
>just go for the wig man, it isnt gay to cosplay
If this isn't just youthful folly and I still care once I get my own place, sure.
>yes anon, women very stupid and cannot understand very, VERY basic philosophical concepts in a hentai vn, so true.
Never said anything about them not getting philosophy, I'm not even through enough of the VN to judge that. I mean moreso all the set dressing for the philosophy (the combat especially). Also, YOU haven't read it at all , so what do you mean by "very very basic"?
>>
>>83677136
>Also beyond being homosexual itself theres hardly any common ground between the two.
youre probably right, i guess lesbians and homos have entirely different, uh, could you call it "cultures"? but idk
>I mean moreso all the set dressing for the philosophy (the combat especially)
i highly doubt thats all that complex either, really. if you understand philosophy itself you should be able to understand the "set dressings".
>Also, YOU haven't read it at all , so what do you mean by "very very basic"?
a read a quick summary on its themes.
speaking of philosophy tho, have you actually read any?
>>
>>83677170
>a read a quick summary on its themes
Doesn't count desu, I can Google hegel summary and say I'd understand his works too.
>lesbians and homos have entirely different, uh, could you call it "cultures"?
Close enough, aren't you a fujo you should know this
>highly doubt thats all that complex either, really
Whatever everything is oh so elementary and perfectly palatable to you then
>speaking of philosophy tho, have you actually read any?
Just started Camus and I've read nothing prior. It's spurred on by me liking a cure song about one of his novels: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P0WjDiaxUX0
>>
>>83677215
yeah but summarising someones works and summarising the plot and themes of a hentai visual novel are 2 things, and one is way easier.
>Close enough, aren't you a fujo you should know this
im a fujo, i consume yaoi doujinshi, that doesnt make me an expert on gays
>Whatever everything is oh so elementary and perfectly palatable to you then
indeed :]
>Just started Camus and I've read nothing prior
interesting starting point, not familiar with camus, tho idk much in regards to french philosophy besides a little deleuze. im waiting to have enough money to buy a stack of his works to read through, and hes probably the only french philosopher ill go near. i read something from freud, and ive read a bit of das kapital (i dont care for commies), and ive read approximately 12 pages of a schopenhauer work but i cant bear to do it, because his works reek of this neurotic and bipolar scent. i actually called it 3 pages in, "this man wouldve been diagnosed with bipolar disorder".
i really just wanted to complain. i love complaining about schopenhauer. hes lucky we werent alive at the same time
>>
and on the very next page of the book im reading after writing all this, was the line
>time for some philosophy
thanks iichan
>>
i should also mention the only reason i got interested in deleuze is because one of his works is regarded as ergodic literature so i need it for my collection, but if i buy that, i should buy the other book related to it, anti oedipus: capitalism and schizophrenia, and if im doing all that, i should just buy his most popular works, and if im doing all that, why not get them all?
i say i dont care about commies but i mean i SPECIFICALLY, do not like karl marx. i dont. i cant. just as i dont like schopenhauer, and i dont really like freud either, but freud has more interesting things to say in my opinion. its all a matter of personal preference tho. i could also say "i wanna read freuds stuff because it was brought up in my favourite short story", but so was descartes, and i have no interest in him either. and i could say, i have no interest in french philosophy, but i wanna read deleuzes stuff.
i just thought this would be funny to write tbdesu
>>
>>83677316
also another funny thing is that when deleuze killed himself, he was working on a book talking about how great karl marx is
>>
>>83677261
Sure ig
>that doesnt make me an expert on gays
True
>Philosophy
I recognize all the names and thats about all I can say. Not a philosophy guy really, I've gotten most of my wisdom through either getting burnt or conversation. The stuff I do read doesn't usually stick all that well. Gonna watch a movie have fun talking to yourself
>>83677316
This is your mind on philosophy VNs
>>
>>83677351
>I've gotten most of my wisdom through either getting burnt or conversation.
thats a good way to get it tho. if you never get any criticism, if someone doesnt call out your foolishness, youll remain a fool, or something along those lines. in order to self reflect you need outsider input, maybe? both sound poorly worded...
im not a philosophy person either, tbdesu i only got interested in it for a very pathetic reason. i dont really like the idea of potentially having my ideas swayed by others. but, you know.
>Gonna watch a movie have fun talking to yourself
have fun anon, enjoy your movie :)
>This is your mind on philosophy VNs
im not reading a vn, thoughever
>>
what a terrible, unfortunate mistake. using the wrong "there, their, and theyre" while translating... as if i didnt accidentally use the wrong "wear/where" earlier, but im not a translator
