I used to think this about myself, like from ages 20-30, when I started making new friends outside of highschool. I started to wonder why I literally don't like or have never heard of anything normies like.1. I realized I was living in a bubble. But 2 I also realized that my subconscious more often than not steered me correctly.The subconscious thing happened after Marvel started releasing all the movies and I basically gave up on them before Infinity War even came out, I still have never seen Infinity War or End Game.Same thing happened with The Walking Dead. I got bored of it right before it went to shit. Game of Thrones I never got into.I'm not actually avoiding anything, that's the contrarian part. I'm just not acting interested in every single thing that drops like the marketers desperately want me to.There are some normie things I get on board with, like Christmas and drinking, so not quite a contrarian hater.
