Anyone else's parents massively fail them when it came to preparing them for the so-called "real world?" I mean like not teaching you about important things like paying taxes, the difference between renting and owning, 401Ks, IRAs, full-time employment, etc? I've had to figure this shit out on my own while my parents cared more about movies, keeping a nice-looking yard, other familial bullshit growing up, and now they're upset that I concern myself with myself, and am not married or have any kids well into my late-30s.
>>83679697there's software that does your taxes, but i tried doing them by hand and it's not even that hard (at least for the average chud). the money stuff is easy to learn too and not that much of a mastery activity anyway since there's so much red tape on how much you can actually maximize it. you probably should be bitter that your parents were middle class and couldn't buy your success though
>>83679697Yes but I figured that out and now I am rot maxxing
>>83679717The parents are both military veterans (20 years) and forced me to go in immediately after high school. I couldn't hack it, but they didn't tell me about the actual benefits of being in, like getting a home loan, Tricare, etc. They could've weaponized my autism by advertising the many ribbons and medals I could've earned had I stayed in, but chose not to.
