I have a few East Asian friends from Korea and Japan. They never openly criticize or speak ill of others. The only two groups of people they portray negatively are people from India and China. They say that people from these two vast countries are always prone to exaggerating tiny things and making promises that they then easily break. Perhaps many people believe that Indians are cheap and untrustworthy.
