How does a community like this even exist? It's unreal to me
>>83681918Kek imagine finding your parent(s) posting here. Brutal.
>>83681918dear sky dad, do people really regret having kids?
>>83681918arent these mostly posts from parents of downies/severely disabled kids? why wouldn't you regret it
>>83681918Something that I honestly believe gets ignored is that most parents never wanted kids, they were just a result of sex and unused or broken protection. And because of this, a lot of parents hold resentment towards their children. This is especially true for poor parents. They genuinely believe that their future was stolen from because they had kids. It's ridiculous of course as this shit is a choice but most adults seem to forget this.
>>83681918I wonder how much crossover there is with r/deadbedrooms
>>83681970>r/deadbedroomsCare to spoonfeed me?
>>83682069A sub where men and women complain about their sexless, empty marriages. Some haven't fucked in years
>>83681937I saw one guy there comment that he was staring to resent his 4 year old bc they kept telling him that he hated him
>>83681948Those people sound like they don't have basic agency over their own lives.
>>83682135LmaoWhy the fuck are these retards breeding
>>83681948>most parents never wanted kidsthat is a world-class ass pull. I believe you must be an idiot to be able to honestly perform this mental maneuver
>>83682655Literally half of births are reported to be accidental
>>83681918If my kids were disabled, I'd be a member there. If my kids end up autistic neets, I will be a member there. For now, I'm a jolly, albeit weird, parent.
>>83682691i hope your kids don't pick up on your 4chanisms
>>83682655The baby boom and sexual liberation is a big reason this happened. Anon is right that a lot of parents currently do not actually want to be parents. Every generation is trying to look for new ways to neglect their kids so they don't have to look at them. Right now, it's iPads
>>83681918At least they're aware of it. 9/10 parents shouldn't have been parents, but act like it's their right to.
>>83682691Are your kids around grooming age? Asking for myself
>>83681970Stats are from a few years ago since the api broke but it's actually insanehttps://subredditstats.com/subreddit-user-overlaps/regretfulparentsI have never seen such a high score for related subs for other topics It just proves most people there are divorced/single/over30/came from broken homesAs a comparisonhttps://subredditstats.com/subreddit-user-overlaps/femaledatingstrategyThis isn't as bad even though it's already pretty illustrating.
I would honestly feel a great sense of relief if my parents admitted this. I know they weren't suited to be parents.
>>83682782Also furbaby owners and boardgamers
>>83681918All regretful parents should rid themselves of their children. Why not? We let them do that with pets already.
