My whole life has been a struggle of trying to understand how people can desire anything. I have "earned" (this is a false concept; nobody "EARNS" anything) sex, status, money, whatever, and none of it felt like anything to me, and I doubt it ever will. Being "better" than anybody else never mattered and never felt like anything, the only thing that ever felt good was reaching out my hand for others to take when they were at their worst, and having them take it.
