Imagine you like a girl, you find her pretty and funny and such, but later you find out she does something repulsive, like letting her dog up on her bed or eating her boogers or not washing her hands after going to the bathroom. You probably wouldn't immediately ditch her, but you'd get an "ick." However, if she does a lot of repulsive things, or if one of them is too repulsive, you'd probably end things.
