lol it worked for me. we're engaged. literally saved my life, we have been living together for a year and our relationship is far more perfect than the first time we dated. we definitely needed that time apart to grow up.

YMMV but idk unless your ex has some glaring character flaws (i.e. anything beyond immaturity) i think it's always worth giving things another go... just let them reach out first
