I'm in my third year of college for CS and I realized something. College isn't actually hard, it's only hard because we get like 3 assignments and 2 midterms on the same week, all of which are based on content you literally just heard about in class a week ago. You barely get any time to learn anything in depth and then somehow expect to get a good enough grasp to do a midterm worth 40% of your grade within a week.Think about this, if a class has a 50% failure rate (which is very common in my classes), then that means 50% of your peers are retaking that course, and they've had a whole extra semester or two to learn the material as well. If 50% of people you need 2 semesters to learn enough to pass a single course then clearly something is messed up with this system. The only person that benefits is the school because they get you to pay twice for the course and make more profit, in fact they probably do it on purpose to make more money. Either that or take 2 courses a semester and graduate in 10 years instead of 4.College isn't about learning anymore, it's a greedy business hellbent on failing as many stressed out kids as possible just so they can get as much money as possible. If you spent that time teaching yourself you'd probably learn way more because you're health isn't degraded by chronic stress.
True. Man Im just happy I graduate soon. Im a civil engineering major myself and have retaken several courses. I think I might as well lie to my employer about my gpa.
