What do you make of the Jesus story? Is there compelling reason to believe , or is it just ancient folklore and metaphorical storytelling ?
>>
Jesus is real, but the bible is just ancient folklore and metaphorical storytelling

Jesus existed, and was crucified. But that's basically all we know about him. We have no idea whether he actually said the words the gospels attribute to him.

Considering its influence i think its only fair to read the bible with an open mind, if it speaks to you then good for you, if it doesnt its still an interesting book purely for how our society is seemingly built around or see if you find theology interesting.

I don't think its possible to disprove Jesus death, missing body and peoples conviction of his resurrection. He also fulfilled a bunch of prophecies written hundreds of years ago and he himself predicted events that happened after his death.
It is much easier to disprove moon-landing, quantum physics, and current impossible model of cosmology than to disprove the bible.
I wanted to get rid of the bible as another psyop for goys but the more research you do the more convincing it became.
All I can say is that Jesus question will come up in your life from time to time until you research it yourself and make ur final conclusion.

The guy lived 2000 years ago. It is interesting but I mean come on.

When jesus died, all of his apostles ran away. Then after they experienced something, they all returned to preach him, opposing entire roman empire. Everyone got martyred except John. We don't have direct proof but have indirect ones like these. Also paul says 500 people saw jesus revived.

If that Jesus guy came back I would crucify him a second time

>Jesus existed
Still debatable. Aside from his handful of close followers, no one in Palestine recorded anything about him. Not a date of birth, not a property deed, not a criminal record, nothing.

>but they didn't do that stuff thousands of years ago
Yes they did. Rome kept pretty good records of goings-on in any of their territories and Pilate wasn't sloppy. If he met a guy who walked on water and transmuted liquids he would have made note of it.

It didn't help that Rome sacked Jerusalem down to rubble a few times in the first three centuries, you'd think Yahweh would have stepped in one of those times. Nah, he's probably busy fulfilling prophecies and being mysterious.

>you'd think Yahweh would have stepped in one of those times
Not really. In the ot, there are so many times God just let the jews get flat out demolished just because they disobeyed and not listen to the many prophets he sent.

Joshua is one of my favorite books because it explains that God doesn't reward people for being good so much as he doesn't want people who are doing bad to prosper. Thus justifying why the 12 tribes invaded several kingdoms and established Israel.

Idk what's real but I think it conveniently filled the gap of being a superior religion to control the masses than the traditional too-many-gods roman religion, but not being Judaism which the Romans despised and which had too much barrier to entry and restrictions, Christianity was easy to join and the teachings were more modern and relevant and not all over the place like paganism where you had like 20 gods, Christianity was populist and appealed to the masses and the poor especially

Jesus is a fictional character, invented by Jews to subvert and enslave the goyim.
>>
>>83686879
Christianity is easy to join because the only requirement is to believe that Christ died for our sins. You still have to repent for your sins and actively try to prevent yourself from sinning, and God knows whether you are a true believer or not.

Jesus was the main player character of the simulation. He's watching in admin mode now.

It is real. The Gospels are historically reliable.

Jesus was the bastard son of the Roman soldier Tiberius Pantera, as indicated by the earliest records about him and how the oldest New Testament books like Mark don't even mention his alleged father Joseph (and there's even a scene where people in Nazareth mock Jesus because they know he's a bastard). He got delusions of grandeur as a child and started a Jewish cult that made up stories about him. Over time his cult subverted the Roman Empire as Jews are wont to do. That's the real Jesus story. Why would anyone believe the nonsense he spouted?
>>83685882
>He also fulfilled a bunch of prophecies written hundreds of years ago
He failed most of them, since he did not restore Biblical Israel, he did not restore the tribes from exiles, he did not bring world peace, and lions weren't laying down with lambs
>he himself predicted events that happened after his death
Yes, his cultists who wrote the New Testament and lived through those events did.

it is real man, do your own research about it and you will find the truth

"repent of your sins" is not a biblical phrase. Repentance is a change of mind from unbelief to belief. The gospel is just about faith. Add works to it and you end up as a slave like in any other religion doomed to fail the standards you put yourself to and in a constant limbo of despair and fear of now knowing if you are good enough.

Stories like Jesus's are a dime a dozen. There's no reason to doubt something like that happened, minus the miracles, of course.

i'm not the most faithful christian, probably the biggest hypocrite i know, and i know i'm going to hell according to the bible. the world has hardened my heart, my ego has consumed my mind, and i have defiled my own body. i am like a prisoner, salivating for freedom, yet stuck in worldly bondage, hoping my Lord will notice me and break me free. i've been putting more and more faith and trust in God because it seems He is my only refuge in this cruel world. even when i get stubborn, i tell myself God knows better than i do, even if i don't know the reason why for right now, and i know true because when i go my way, i hurt me and continue to hurt me. when i walk with God, it hurts me, but i know it's all for the better because i know it's just a growing pain and not a chronic obsession. i've never really felt like i was apart of any of this anyways, it's why i spend so much time online- if only to separate myself from worldly strife, but even this led me astray when i was not redeemed in Christ.

doctrine wise, Jesus said, "'I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.'" the old testament jews had to sacrifice baby sheep- the lamb- to atone for their sins. Jesus became that sacrificial lamb when the world persecuted Him to death, and belief in Him became salvation for all, for the obstinate pharisee, for the cruel roman, for the unclean gentile, for the socially outcast (us). it didn't mean they now had a free pass to do whatever they could, it meant that they now could have a relationship with God, to have Him work through their lives and redeem them as His children under His Heavenly Kingdom, growing a faith as little as a mustard tree to bear fruit.
