It would really be nice to have some purpose that was handed from above and not invented by yourself. But I suppose that's the best we have, so we gotta try to just come up with some purpose for ourselves and just convince ourselves somehow that it's meaningful.

You wouldn't have much to do in your room (unless you had the riches to buy lots of books I suppose) so you'd be forced to go out and do something I guess. Personally I dunno if that's a good thing or not, I can't tell if being forced to do that would have made me into a more capable person or if it would have just broken me. I'm not really sure someone like me is fit for this world at all, regardless of what time I am to be born in. Maybe this life sucks so much because I'm not supposed to be alive at all.
