Their idea of empathy is "says generic shit without trying to understand what the other person is going through, based on social norms". What empathy actually means: "the ability to model other peoples' emotions based on cues". A common additional part to empathy is to be able to share someone's emotion, for example seeing someone sad would make you sad, but that is more of a sociopath/non-sociopath thing as far as I understand.In my experience, autists are far better tuned to people's emotions and endeavor to "reason through the emotion and provide support in this way" (or not provide support depending of course on context). I have never seen a normalfag capable of comprehending someone else's emotions. A lot are very happy to tell other people what they're feeling and refusing to listen when their retarded views are denied, though.
