Day 17 of watching a movie every day from a list of movies i compiled last year from /r9k/ /tv/ and tiktok.>list can be found herehttps://letterboxd.com/negamoth/list/2026-one-movie-a-day-list/>previous thread>>83683022Today's movie was 100 Meters>there's spoilers in my little review. This one was a slow burn, i really enjoyed the ending that was pretty cute. I liked how they didn't show who the winner was, the whole time you're rooting for all the main characters to win, and you can't figure out who the writers chose as the winner so they just leave it open. i guess the winner is who you want it to be or something. That's hard to choose because you want to cheer for the main character, but the deuteragonist is also written in such a way that you want him to win too. Maybe they didn't know who to write as the winner and that's why they didn't show it. even if that were the case it still works.i give this movie 2.5 out of 5
>>83691870The old guy won. It's a nice movie, pretty inspirational and personal story. the characters might seem a bit lacking but I think their motivations and personalities were clear enough and serviceable. I think the rotoscoping will filter most people, at the start it does look a bit odd, but you get used to it.I liked the rival/stubble guy the most, he's the autism stand-in for me to relate to
>>83691941yeah i forgot to comment on the rotoscope, it seems like the technology has gotten better because it's less offensive than the flowers of evil. was it confirmed that the old guy won? because it seemed like they were ahead of him at the end there.
